Pay method explanation

Hi i want to describe me the pay method for ffxiv.

I heard it would be like pay per play.

So if i play for 1 hour then im charged for that day
If i dont play the next day i dont get charged for that day.

Is that true or there is a different plan?
 
no they wont do that as they are trying to make it so u can only play so long as it will make the profit for them smaller im pritty sure it will be pay monthly as most other online games are.... well all are.
 
Someone told me you pay 13 bucks for 30 days...
Meaning 30 days of PLAYTIME and not IRL Time.. Is that true?
If it is worth the playtime then that would be sweet.
 
Square Enix is a business, and at a business stand point, they will charge you per month, not by the day or play time. They know us hardcore fans, and some not hardcore, will pay to play. The only favor they are going to do for us is release the game :P

So yes it's monthly.
 
any idea if PS3 owners like my self will have to pay,as online gamings free for us.all we have to do is pay for the connection or is it going to work differently for PS3.

Access to Eorzea is subject to certain license agreements and, after the 30-day free gameplay period, recurring subscription fees. All new game packages come with a period of free gameplay, one playable character and one non-playable retainer character (a non-playable character that provides free item storage and in-game merchant services). After the free gameplay period, the regular 30-day subscription fee will be $12.99. Each additional playable character will be $3.00 per period, with a maximum of 8 playable characters per account. Each additional retainer will cost $1.00 per period.

I just want to know where you get your information, that Square Enix is not aware of what's what.
 
Thats retarded! Talk about raking in some money! Additional characters shouldn't cost an extra $3.00, thats bullshit.
