Help Paladin's Shield on the Veldt

Hi to everyone!

I'm trying to break the curse of the Cursed Shield, but I'm doing the 256 victories on the Veldt. Does that count or should I do it in "normal" battles?

If I remember correctly, you can do it on the Veldt as long as you don't try to learn Rages with Gau. That doesn't count as a complete battle, so it doesn't count for your..... count.

But of course you don't get Exp. from the Veldt, so no levels up so no stat bonuses. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind, especially since you still get MP.

Fortunately I'm not learning any rages with Gau (I NEVER use him). I'll keep on fighting til I break that bloody curse

The Veldt is good cause it gives no EXP but AP. You can learn spells and keep levels for more important stat boosts later on. Plus all the enemies there are ones you've encountered before so you know you can beat them. Earning rages is a plus to all that. As for uncursing the shield I always went to solitary island and did it there. The enemies die for you all you need to do is move around.
