Well, as most people have come to know, I use Zidane a lot. I have Cloud of Darkness as a back up when I'm getting tired of using Zidane. However, today I was messing around and decided to check up on Onion Knight. I was quite impressed.

His speed is amazing, and I love his blend of close range and long range attacks. Both of which combo in to an extra brave and HP attack.

I think I found myself a new main to use. I've already perfected my technique with both Cloud of Darkness, Ultimecia, Zidane, and I don't want to use overused characters (FFVII and characters) or characters I hate (Tidus and Jecht). I'm working on Kuja, but I just can't seem to master him.

I've also thought about Shanotto (the FFXI character).

However, I digress. I just effing loved how Onion Knight plays. It's going to take me a little while, but I'm going to try really hard to get going.

Anyone else use that little bundle of awesome?

I use him to an extent, but in competitive play, hes very predictable and his moves can be avoided and punished easily. His combos are short and he deals little damage. However hes a great punisher.

He's got a great lag time if he misses. I still like him though. I don't see what's so good with VII characters as well.

Squall is actually the most overused character

Cloud is very situational and sephiroth is like squall but slower and not as good lone HP attacks

I used him a little. His attacks are fast, but they can tend to be weak and easy to see through, despite the speed. Maybe after a few levels he/she gets better, but I dont know. It is fun to see him run circles around the other big fighters, though xD.

Squall? Why? His attacks are predictable as shit. Anyone with half a brain can see his crap coming from a mile away. (Just like Tidus.) With Zidane, I've never lost a battle to Squall or Tidus, whether it's computer or ad hoc.

I wanted to test Onion Knight's predictability. So I started fighting him on the highest difficulty setting. After about 2 battles, I could do the same thing that I can do while fighting Tidus or Squall. I could see most of his attacks coming. However, at times it would be too late to do anything about him.

Then after I started playing with Onion Knight, I mastered is long rage spell combos. I having lots of fun playing as him.

the OK is a lot of fun.!
espacialy in the EX mode he is very powerful and makes quiet a lot of dmg.
he is my backup if there are any opponents i cant defeat. with him i've first defeaded chaos in IC. the opponents there were kinda easy going.

i like his melee attacks most and its a lot of fun to watch him running around in his strange outfit. btw in his alternativ outfit he looks like a girl if you ask me...
