One white mage

Has anyone ever heard of or seen the game being completed with a white mage and no other characters?

Even a level 99 White Mage would not be able to kill the toughest bosses. They simply do not have the physical combat skills to do so.

Perhaps if you could level up forever, then MAYBE you could, but even then, doing it with one character IS virtually impossible.

What do you do in the case of characters that absorb holy? (that's strictly a rhetorical question)

That would be hard but if there was some way of getting holy at the start it would b a bit easier!

A lone White Mage? can you even play the game with a lone character? if this can be done I wouldn't even attempt it...it would be THAT hard...

I assume you would achieve a one-man party by simply letting three die and never reviving them.

I heard of someone who has beaten the game with a team of four white mages, and that it was about as harrowing as one might imagine. I myself doubt that a single character of ANY class could beat the game on his own.

it can't be done, not even if you power-leveld. remember you have to BUY spells so even if you were level 99 you can't get Holy until near the end of the game, so how do you propse to defeat the bosses before Holy? it just isn't possible.

I don't think the game will let you start a new game without a party of four. If you are playing the classic 8-bit version then you will start out with the default party with no names. The Playstation and Advance versions require you to choose a party with names. I have never played the PSP version but I imagine it is the same as the newer versions. The reason being is that 4 Warriors of Light come around each holding one crystal. You can't have one warrior holding all four crystals, that would be to heavy of a burden on him.

Ive seen the first 4 bosses soloed before using only a white mage so im guessing if you got it at a high enough level it can do the same to the rest, just MP would be hell to keep up with and you gata make sure he gets all good + stats when leveling

I'd think it to be impossible.
Just going up against Garland you'd have to be level 15(My guess) in order to beat him.

The game would get tiresome with all the training until you get Holy.

Trying would give you a 100 Hours game I think.

I really don't think its possible. I would venture to say one lone character of any class couldn't do it alone. Plus why would you?

I passed it with 4 white wizards even in level 99 its extremely hard but possible. they killed me sometimes jaja.
