I've been spending countless hours wandering around trying to find this guy. I've received Ultima and killed Yiazmat, but can't quite find Omega. I'm having so much trouble with this, I'm going insane.

Is there a *good* guide that I can follow that will lead me to him? I've looked through numerous guides, but none of them state the right way to go, or simply state "head left, then right". At times, there is more than one "right" and "left", and it confuses me a bit.

Is there a guide I can follow that will lead me to him? I know I must start from the save crystal near Ultima, so if we start from there, I should be able to keep up.

Here let me move this to the help booth and see if anyone replies there. ^__^

Thank you very much!

Hopefully, I won't become lost on my way there. I understand it takes some time to reach him, but that was expected. I'm hoping it won't take too long, half an hour at most.

Is there a text guide that will help with this?

Yeah that's the map I used as well, but remember that you can only open one of each zodiac gate at a time. Meaning: Only one Taurus gate can be opened; one Aries gate can be opened at a time; not both Aries' gates at once. So you need to plan out a path to Omega beforehand.

Indeed, I have figured that out the hard way. :P

I do have a question with this map. Say, for example, I take Way Stone XIX to Waystone XX. When I get to XX, will my characters be facing towards Way Stone XII (north of Way Stone XX), or will they be facing towards Way Stone XI (south of Way Stone XX)?

Um, I would think that the characters would face north. You can always just use the rotate controls and find your way around.

Located and defeated him. Thank you all for the help. :)

I have the Wyrmhero Blade now, but it seems to be more of a trophy weapon rather than a useful one. It has an extremely slow attack rate, but when equipped, gives permanent Bravery and Faith Spell effects.

Yeah and it has 80% chance of comboing ^_^
Although omega is very easy compared to the japanese version... in the USA and PAL version he only has 1000000 hp and in JAP version he has 10000000 hp

So I've noticed. ^_^

I was surprised when I took a look at Omega's health. I was expected 10,000,000 when I looked at the book, but noticed that that was only for the Japanese version, as you state.

I found a slowly, but surely way to defeat him. This may have been used before, though I set up my Gambit order as follows:

1. Ally: any - Arise
2. Ally: any - Reverse
3. Self: MP < 10% - Charge
4. Foe: Highest HP - Attack

Very simple, and very easy. It takes a bit longer to defeat him, though I encountered no problems whatsoever when using this Gambit order. Having Curaga as an additional slot is not necessary. Your character will either be Reversed by another ally, thus healing him/her when Omega strikes that character, or be revived (Arise) by another character, then Reversed by the other. I believe you know what Charge is. ^_^

I also used heavy (2H) weapons, seeing as how shields don't seem to have any effect in terms of blocking his attacks. It's a slow process, otherwise, noone should encounter too much trouble if the Gambits are in the proper order. :)

Also, be sure to keep up Haste after the effect has dispersed. :)

If you want it even easier just target your best character with decoy and reverse eg: party leader:decoy and party:leader reverse and then let that person attack omega.
Also curaga is good as well
