An experimental portrait-style painting I did about 4 months ago as part of my developmental work, working towards a final piece. Just thought I'd post it, since I have it uploaded anyway.

Sorry picture quality isn't great, and colours are slightly off what they are in real life.

Was my second painting in a series, only A3 size. Currently working on large 2m by 1m canvas for a final piece portrait.

Whoa, that's pretty crazy, but artistic nonetheless. I quite like the style of the painting, but I'm having a hard time seeing the shape of the lips - or was it meant for it to be that way? It's still good though.

No the lips I messed up a bit on. And the nose also. This was my second ever painting, and I was pretty new to it. I am glad to say I have improved now :)

Forgot to mention, it is acrylic.

Eidolon you can draw ??!!!!
oh .......that piece is perfect from here and you say the quality is better in real life?...well it doesn't make any difference your work is perfect in both =)
what a unique way of painting ...I can't wait to see the rest of your works ...and for the lips ...you need just to add little white and darken the area around the chain line little bit just to give them shape...dunno I think it might be work .....waiting for your piece...

That's an awesome piece - really unique patchy style you've gone for, and it paid off IMO. I like how even contrasts between shadows and light on the face still come through despite the style.
Well done. :)
