got it just a couple days ago (along with the system required to play it) and i havnt moved... like at all... its very very good... my gosh im in trouble,,, ok so im in disc 3 and ive finally gotten to an area that isnt a straight lighn (hate the liniearity -.- is that a word?) having fun hunting down the monsters, still wishing sentinal was a bit more decent..

did i seriously just spell line lighn??? wow this is bad

Oh god yes I was the same. However I, unlike you, rarely has a part without a SEN. They are so goddamn useful just taking all the damage and lowering the damage in everyone else. Maybe I just suck at playing and need that SEN to help me.

but yes, I love this game so much but now that I have finished the story, I find it hard to continue playing. I miss that compelling storyline that had me sitting there for hours. I am mainly in FF for the plot so I guess it was to be expected.

i play for the plot aswell but im also big on go-out-get-mega-kill-big-boss type people

When i first got this game i had to call into work for the next two days because i was so addicted to this game. i got up from playing it maybe twice a day for no more than 5 min, it was bad.

That's why I love and hate RPGs. I can play for hours on end without doing anything else. Whereas shooters, racing games, sims, RTS, I can only play for an hour or two at max, then get bored. It's really more of a bad thing actually.

i took a week off when i got the game but i didnt call out, i pretty much have free raighn over my schedule

Meh, I eventually found it to be quite a grind. Up until Chapter 11 where the best of the storyline essentially ends I didn't want to stop playing. But once the game opens up and you have freedom I thought it seemed to off you very little other than a wide open field with other linear paths running off them. The battles are quite boring as well since they off you very little. =/

I completely agree with this.

There was a bit of a good thing with the linearity in the earlier chapters. It helps the flow of the story move along quickly. The player is engrossed by the story and just wants to keep going to see what happens next. I was no different. The story to start off with is undoubtedly good. They do a good job of hooking the player on with storyline ambiguities.

By the time Chapter 11 kicked in, I grew a bit disillusioned with the plotline and it sort of deteriorated beforehand. I knew I had to grind and run around, so the storyline element was missing at that point to keep me going. At that point, the novelty of the battles had long faded. The more familiarised I became of the battle system, the more monotonous each battle became.

On the day of release I played the game for 15 hours straight if that makes you feel any better :), only break in that was to have dinner :P
