I remember I used to play my dad at chess. Lost every time though once every 100 games he'd give me a win out of sympathy, and because he was pretty sickly for a couple of years so I was his only entertainment. 
Beat him legit one day. Though he was a bit sleepy that day I think. He left his Queen exposed as fuck.
