No Zodiac Spear for me because I open a stupid little treasure chest...i mean...it was a freaking inconspicuous little treasure...bucket. And now that I opened it I can't get the best spear in the game.

Am I the only one that thinks this is stupid.
 
I had to start over from a save point early in the game because I opened a chest. Yes it can be annoying, but Im sure its worth it in the end!
 
yeah..well...i opened the palace chest...and now i am 30 hours into the game..just past the shiva incident...me no go back! LOL

You can still get it, but it has a 1/1000 chance of appearing in a treasure chest elsewhere.
 
In the deep end of the Henne Mines... it's a horribly pathetic chance to get it though. One in ten million really isn't an exaggeration. You have a better chance of finding a smart blonde.
 
Bahahaha! Well, oh well. This is just my first run through the game. I can predict that I will be making at least one or two more runs through, so as more to even out my party just a bit better than it is now.
 
It's not worth restarting the games because it isn't all that great when you fight yiazmat and high end marks because of the low combo rate
 
I hate the ZS requirements but it is apparent later on that it is not the be all and end all of FF12 weapons so there is no need to restart.
 
I was annoyed when I found out about it, because I'm one for opening every chest (or things alike) for potentially rare/useful items. My policy has been well-justified, but this just... urgh. Real kick in the balls. Low-blow Enix... low-blow.


Fortunately, I've recently started again and managed to ignore the specific chests. I'm almost excited. :monster:
 
Try not to use the ninja swords in dark caves and dungeons because alot of enemies down there will absorb the dark element and ninja swords are dark elemental
 
Totally Agree Saix. Its a punishment for TRYING to explore. Pissed me off too. Completed the game and then went back to my last save point with a guide to get the secret stuff but nope, no can do.

When will developers learn that we LIKE secret stuff but we HATE it when a silly natural action can spoil it?
