Personality: O'aka has a broad rural accent and a good portion of humor. In the European version, both O'aka and Wantz have a Cockney accent (London), which is very amusing and suits him very well. In the Japanese version, they probably have the Osaka or Kansai accent, because they sound like the Cockney accent. O'aka is a traveling merchant and he appears frequently in all kinds of places of Spira to sell neat stuff. He is a devout supporter of Yuna, even when she is branded a heretic. O'aka is the only civilian to bear witness to the disastrous failure of Operation Mi'ihen, and it temporarily lowers the spirits even of this otherwise balanced and mostly worriless lad. He is not afraid to talk to customers and try to convince them to buy stuff from him.

His eagerness leads him to blow his cover at one point though - just after Yuna and her party leave Rin's travel agency at the Thunder Plains, you can get a glimpse of the paparazzo at work. In Luca, Wantz is being bullied by Biran and Yenke, two members of the Ronso tribe. He has the same accent as his brother, O'aka.
