NPC's

At first I talked to the NPCs alot and thought it was quite interesting but after playing the game a while I seem to walk past the majority of the NPCs. Usually I do try to talk to everyone in games in case I miss something but in FF12 there is just far to many.

I totally agree with you. The only kind of NPC I would talk to is the one's with unique names not something like "Imperial Soldier" because I just don't care about them.

i thought the amount of NPCs was fun - it added a sense of uniqueness to the game  plus when you had to go get the chops i stayed until i got the sandalwood chop because it ws so fun talking to all those NPCs XD

Yeah, really. The only NPCs that were even worth talking to were the ones with interesting names. And NO, I don't mean Archadian Gentry. More like names like Kjrn.

Far too many NPC's for my liking. Once it came to chop Collecting I gave up reading what they had to say. Chop collecting was excrutiatingly boring. Only time I really paid attention to NPC's in this game was when I was looking for the hunt petitioners. I'd jsut randomly run past people with the smiley faes looking for a name I recognised...

This is probably the first game where I havent talked to an NPC repeatedly, trying to find out what they have to say. Most of it's just bollocks - the same stuff just said in a slightly different way. It gets old fast

Edit* I ignored anyone that was just shown as 'rabanastran' or 'Bhujerban' as wel, they were the dullest of the lot - I tried harrassing the Imperials in Rabanastre for a while - they don't even os much as raise an eyebrow. Miserable twats

In my first play, I talked to every NPC until after Bhujerba. Fun random information about Ivalice, but I wanted to finish the game.

After finishing it though, I've enjoyed talking to the NPCs. Some of them say things that hint at backstory, like the Precocious Girl talking about the prodigal Bunansa. It's very little, but adds to the realism.
