I don't know how many .hack// Fans are on here but for those who liked .hack//, CC2 is producing another new game to the franchise.

The Games name has been decided to be .hack//Versus and it will be a Fighting Game/RPG Elements

It looks as though it will be a mesh of .hack// combined into Tekken or Street Fighter.

Famitsu.com went live today with its online preview of .hack//Versus.
The CyberConnect2-developed fighting game will be included on a hybrid disc with the .hack//Sekai no Mukou Ni CG movie on June 28 in Japan. It will support stereoscopic 3D. The standard release will cost 7,140 yen. A “The World” version, including a 48-page art book, 25 small posters, a theater pamphlet, extra DVD, and other bonuses, will be released for 10,500 yen.

We not only see a trailer for the movie but we see some small gameplay footage of Versus!

the ps2 hacks were dump, boring and dull as Hell, i bet that this new one will follow the unholy tradition of the series and we will have to buy another 4 discs of the game just to prolong the suffering. Is a fighting game so i maybe will be wrong but for the time being i will be exceptical about this game.

Don't bother posting if you've nothing positive to say, The .hack games have been improving quite a bit, The first 4 were okish, G.U. was a great game, Link is unknown since it was never released in the US. I'm betting that this will be a good game.

Bumping this with new news thanks to the .hack fanpage on Facebook, We not only see the Movie coming out but we also see gameplay footage of Versus!

The game looks like it'll take off rather well in combat at least, looks like it took a page from .hack//Links battle system
