Well my first piece of advice would be to get a much bigger picture. Maybe it's just my computer but when I click the thumbnail I get a tiny pic :gasp:
My second piece of advice is just to read a tutorial. I mean people giving you suggestions is pretty much the same thing as a tutorial! :) Just type it in google and you'll get loads of sites with them. Or even join a GFX site and look at their resource sections. That's the best way to improve, learn the basics and then you have a platform to create your own style.
I recommend looking at sigresource and gfxresource (both dot com, not sure if I'm allowed to give websites), they have some of the top GFX on the net.
Good luck!

Also, I don't think you're allowed to bump :hmmm: Not sure though.

Well, I know what to do, even tho I am new to Photoshop...I mean I can't think of what to but in the background...I am drained for ideas...and one of my secrets that I use for backgrounds I have used in all 3 of my recent siggys...I want to try something new, and was wondering what you guys would put in the back...it's more like you guys sorta helping me stimulate my creative side.

PS. The picture if you save it, is actually the size for my sigs, you just can't see because I made it a transparent background...lol so it defaults to white

A tutorial will do all of those things. I could just say "make a smudged background, or use brushes" but that won't really help. It's better if you look at what some of the really good GFX artists are doing and learn from that.

So...like yourself? I mean you seem pretty good at it...and I say that because I asuume you use Photoshop...and I am terrible with PS...I just started to use it after 4 years of Paint.NET...which is nothing like PS

I'm still a novice!
But seriously dude, I've given you honest advice. Go to those sites and follow as many tutorials as you can.

You can use textures. You can find textures by searching them up in google. They're usually designs like lighting or raindrops or just different colors. I made a collection of differing textures that talented artists made over at my deviantart. Just make sure to credit them if you do decided to use them.

Also, Stocks are a great help for backgrounds. I mean, I was able to make this with different stocks. So for starters, look for stocks on Deviantart or something. Hopefully this will help you.

And if you need more font you can go to Dafont.com. That has thousands of different and unique fonts to use.

I hope this helped you some. But honestly I think your sig you have on now is great. xD
