* New Game *

You could put it in a spoiler tag so that people can only look at it if they want/need to.
Like this.
I don't think I had any problems with the phantom train personally. I think there's a save point right before it, so it's not too annoying.

Spoiler tags you say.
Thanks
No the train isn't to bad. Just thought if the guy wanted the hint to beat it in one move, its a pretty handy trick for those who like to go through the game a lot.

SPOILER
Drop a Phoenix Down on the train and it dies instantly

Of course, there is also another famous way to defeat bosses and other monsters quite easily:
Cast Vanish and then Death
. But that may have been disallowed in one or the other of the remakes.

Well actually I beat most of the bosses in the final dungeon with that technique :monster:

But I believe it was fixed in the GBA version and won't work anymore.

Been a while, I'm playing through it myself again but not that far yet. If I think of some or catch up Ill let yah know. What part are you on now?

The Vanish+X-Zone/Doom trick was a bug that they kept in the original port for sentimental reasons, I think...Vanish isn't supposed to negate a monster's immunity to instant death moves.

Sorry I should probably add that the Vanish/Doom technique won't work on everything (in the PS Version anyway, not sure about the original). But since your playing the GBA version it doesn't really matter anyway.
