I've heard from a mag here in the UK that there's a new FFXII to be released called "Final Fantasy XII International". This will contain a tweaked battle system and twelve licence boards!!! It will also contain the job system! For I know it could already be out in the USA(if it is sorry for wasting time:s).
Just thinking about this makes me feel warm inside!!!!!! What are your veiws?

Ok...if it was in the US I would know about it. And if it does come out in the US I am going to shite my pants and would ultimately destory the US for the game. I mean jeez...i would even....

seriously..i have never heard of that...but if it is true..i best be saving up!
It would be kool if you could find a legitimate site that states this so we can know this is not just bullsh*t!

i heard it was only out in japan...like X-2 Final mission.

And i think you have to pick one of the 12 unique liscence boards as your characters job when you first get them and then stick with them, so there'd be on for Spellcaster, warrior, etc

Thats still worth it if it came out. I think Square should step up and send all those games out to the US.

FFX International was only released in Europe i believe. I would be surprised if FFXII International wasn't the same.

To the original poster...

How would you get 12 License Boards? That doesn't even make sense. Each character gets 2 now?

Puzzled...

I think he means there are 12 options of Licence board, and once you have picked the characters job you pick a corresponding liscence board.

IE: You pick Penelo and she is you main healer, you would pick a liscence board for Penelo that would contain Healing Magic, MP+, MAG+ gear etc...

Atleast, thats how i see it.

X-2 final mission? never heard of it. never heard about this FFXII international either, and it angers me that some countries get video games and others don't.

The game is Final Fantasy XII International: Zodiac Job System. Like all other "International" versions of Square games (except KHII:Final Mix+, which seems to be coming to US this Fall), it is only going to Japan, and some make it to Europe. Basically, it's giving Japanese gamers all the extras (such as English voice acting) and other perks that US gamers got by the time it was released there. So, they add a few MORE exclusive things (this time around an expanded license board revolving around the job system) as an added incentive for Japanese gamers to shell out for the game a second time. So no, the US hasn't and will not get this game. And since FFXII is out in Europe (as far as I know, at least), neither will they.

it angers me that some countries get video games and others don't.

It angers Europeans having to wait an extra 6 months for a game. I know the reason they released the internation version of Final Fantasy X to europe was because we had to wait so much longer for the game than other countries, so we were rewarded with extra content (Dark Aeons etc...)

EDIT: The original Final Fantasy X was released to Europe, and an International version was released soon after, if i remember correctly, so fingers crossed the same will happen with FFXII.

When I said 12 extra licence boards I was just reading what it said. Any views on what the tweaked battle system could be like? Maybe more like FFXIII?

As far as I know about the battle system, you will have more control of the guest's gambits as in be able to chose etc. That's all I can remember.

The new stuff for it are cool, like you can control your esper, chests will have diffrent percentage rates new job system etc
Oh and the game is apparently in english

Great, I hated it when guests went off and did their own thing. It'd be pretty cool to control espers as well.

Why didn't they just release the game when they were FINISHED with it? <__<
I guess you can have the game imported. It only costs $80-90 bucks for brand new imports over here. But they aren't translated. =[

yeah, it would be good if japan could make a british translated version of most of the japan only game heck i would settle for american if i had to or they could at least sell it with a japanese-english dictionary

^_^ it'lll cost me $60 on ebay for me and all imports if they are the real copy are in the language they are made to be

It would be coolio if it was the old battle system used, but I doubt it. Im very interested by this piece of news, but its the first Ive heard about it.

It's shame it took so long for the international version to be released and me have to play the half done version it seems.

I would have loved control of guests for Chains and the lack of individuality in the License Board is my main problem with the game and i love New game+ options.
