Ok not sure where I should post this so if this is in the wrong section sorry and please move it to the correct section!

Well Lately I've been wanting to try some new MMO's but some don't work graphically so I was wanting to update my Driver but I have absolutely no idea how to do so.

My Driver is... nVidia GeForce Ti 4600 its version is... 6.14.0010.9371

Tbh I have no idea how up to date mine is since I have little information on this PC.

If you need to know more of the specs of my comp heres a list of the current stuff on it.

OS:Windows XP Home Edition 5.1
System Model: Dimension 8200
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.26 Ghz
RAM:512

I just want to know if my Graphic driver is up to date and if not does anyone know a place to update it?

I've tried the nVidia site and didn't see my model listed x.x;

Any help would be appreciated!

Sherlock,

He may be able to help you with this, since he's the most knowledgeable person I know that works with computers.

Also, as for your MMO problem. I think you just need more RAM, so it has more to load any excess components and bits graphically.

Although, I could be wrong :hmmm:

Do you know how to add more RAM? Provided that you have enough HDD memory.

http://www.geforce.com/Drivers

Have it autodetect your gpu, or if you know which card you have, select it yourself. Depending on the card, and based on how aged your computer is, your graphics drivers may be up to date, but doesn't receive updates anymore, which could explain why you can't find any. There's also an nVidia control panel that can tell you what drivers you currently have, but since I've currently got an AMD card, I can't remember how to get to it exactly.

OH WAIT SORRY.

That's adding the physical type of RAM, I meant adding more via control panel.

Here's how you do it.

It should be the same process on a Windows XP.

1. Go to Control Panel
2. Go to System & Security
3. Go to System
4. Go to Advanced System Settings (On the Left Hand Side)

5. You will see a box named Performance, Click settings
6. Then on the top right, click the ADVANCED tab
7. On that tab, look for Virtual Memory
8. Click CHANGE
9. Click on "CUSTOM SIZE"
10. Enter in a number, in the thousands, for Initial, and Maximum. 1000 MB = 1GB.

The amount of Gigabytes you use are subtracted from your available HDD space.

Well seems my card is up to date, But I went to check my Virtual memory and maxed it out seems like my limit is 4096 so I put my memory on

Initial Mem: 3058
Maximum Mem: 4096((my limit since I can't make it any higher for now))

Before hand I think it was

Initial Mem: 786
Max Mem: 1068

so could explain why its somewhat slowish.

Anyways Thank you both for your assistance on this ^_^ been very helpful.

I'll just have to save up some cash in order to upgrade this thing xD for better performance
