Anyone participating in bracketology or any other such concoction?

List the teams you have a bet would win the entire tournament, or just comment on your favorites altogether.

Since I'm from California, I have to support the 4 California that are going, namely UCLA, Stanford, San Diego, and CSU Fullerton. The latter two are probably going to lose in the first couple of rounds, but UCLA and Stanford are two good bets that could go deep into the tournament, so keep close watch on them.
Also, UCLA is in a pretty soft bracket with the only other good competition being Duke.

Anyone care to comment on the other regionals that are going to take place next week?

Yay for brackets! I have North Carolina going all the way.

Obviously, the top ranked teams from each region are heavy favorites. North Carolina, Memphis, Kansas and UCLA are all good bets.

I always root for Connecticut and Duke in the tournament. If Penn State ever steps up its game, maybe I'll be able to root for them one of these years. haha

I think third time is a charm and UCLA is going to finish the job this time, plus it would be more of an interesting story if it happened that way

i am thinking memphis is looking unstopable. i know pitt will make an impact as will stanford, ucla, n.c.
if i had to pic one to win it. i would have to go with memphis as long as thier playesr stayed out fo foul trouble.

i am a pitt fan, but i don't think this iwll be thier year. elliete 8.. i do hope though

Maaan...2 Duke almost lost to 15th ranked Belmont.

THAT would have messed up a few brackets.

yeah. duke was caught sleeping and it is not getting any easier either. they are playing the always dangerous west virginia. wvu will lite you up form teh 3pt. line if you aren't careful.. i think wvu has what it takes to knock off duke.

Dammit, i can't watch the San Diego game. It's too intense to watch. >..<

*will come back with an update*

...I watched it.

Pisses me off. I had Connecticut going to the Final 4. I like 'em, so I took a long shot.

Dammit.

First time a team from San Diego's won a game. Ooooh, I bet I'll be hearing a lot about this in the next few weeks. :D

I hope Western Ky. tears 'em a new one. :monster:

...though Western Ky. knocked Drake off (yet another team I picked to win). Both games came down to a game winning shot. Laaaaame.

What are you talking about? Those were the best games so far in this tournament. :monster:

Now on to the Field of 32!

Yeah, but the teams I picked to win lost in each game.

Awesome games for sure, though. :]

Well, the tournament is going to be really interesting now what with all the screwed up brackets and everything, but so far, the 2007-2008 season for all sports has been basically the year of the upset.

...even though I really was hoping Drake would pull it out and win.

So was I. They made a good comeback, at least.

And very true about the year of the upset. I still can't believe that college football season...or the Super Bowl.

Gots to keep the "top" teams on edge.

Yeah. I didn't think Western Kentucky's desperation shot would make it and then when the buzzer sounded and I looked and it made it in....that was crazy. Congrats to them.

Duke fell! Hah! After Belmont nearly stuck it to 'em, I wasn't sure how much longer they'd last.

What's the best conference naow?!

Last second heroics by both Darren Collison (UCLA) and Brook Lopez (Stanford) helped both Pac-10 teams win their respective games vs. Texas A&M and Marquette.

Damn, those were some good games. UCLA has to find a way to score more points though or they're in trouble.

Texas A&M got screwed over. The refs didn't call that foul in the closing seconds. It was plain as day and would have given A&M a chance at tying the game through free throws.

Oh, well. You're right. They definitely need to find more offense than that.

My bracket sucks right now. I actually think I threw it away the copy I was keeping track of. I didn't lose that many, but I took USC and Duke to the Elite 8 and they're out already. I still have all my Final 4 teams, and my favorite team has always been North Carolina, so I'm just pulling for them to win it all again.
