My mouse is acting really stupid. The curser moves across the screen opposite of the direction that I move my mouse, and it randomly clicks on things; sometimes minimizing my screen, clicking on that dumb add below the forum banner, closing out my browser...it's really annoying. :wacky:

Well, it could have dust on the buttom. Well, that would apply if it is an optical mouse. The ball could be dirty, if it is a ball mouse. If it is cordless, there could be a problem with how it communicates with the infrared beem or a battery going on the fritz. Or, it is possessed.

It's one of those laser mouses with the red light. It does have dust in it and I just kind of dust it off every now and again. I don't have a mouse pad either. X__x

It's only started acting this way recently. X__x

Well the dust will do what you mentioned. Hopefully my post helped rid your problem. I check for dust all the time. I have a cordless optical mouse and dust does weird stuff. I haven't used a mouse pad in years. If you have a good desk surface, a mouse pad is not needed.

Crappy desktop surface. XD
I cleaned it out with a q-tip. At first I thought it was hackage, but who would hack me every day for a month? X__x

You could have a keylog or a virus....If you're mouse is moving by it's self in all different directions and someone might have access to your PC..... O_O

I would run a virus scan if I was you.

I know, that's what I thought at first, but my mouse has been doing this for well over a month. If someone was accessing my PC, it wouldn't be every single day at random times. X__x

It could very well be a virus though. I know my computer is loaded with them. XD

I think that cleaning it may have helped. ^.^

hahahahaha!!!!!
That happened to me once, exept it didn't actually click things. I just bought a new mouse and chucked away the other one! There was no way it could've been fixed, well, it was about 9 years old:)
