I've tried to allow myself to become as much a seasoned member of this site as the next person, however my time here just hasn't developed into something meaningful. I mostly came here for two reasons, those being to discuss the Final Fantasy series and design a roleplay which is set in the FFX/X-2 universe, then enjoy it with the local talent. Now, don't take this as a means of complaining that my RP didn't take off, that simply isn't the case. Though, it does add on to why I'm taking a scheduled leave of absence for an undetermined amount of time. I can see that the hot topic with most discussions relates to Final Fantasy XIII, of which I've no interest in discussing. Now, you may have noticed my attempts in straying from such a topic in the SB which only succeeded about 10-20% of the time.

Suffice it to say, I don't believe I fit in here. What do I mean by that? Do I mean that I'm being warded away simply because of what the SB's entirety is chattering on about? Partly. It does matter, considering that's what the forum's most active members are willing to discuss at any given time, it also exemplifies their interests. Sorry to say that porn and the possibility of a XIII-2 doesn't pique my interest. I can't say I'm a prude but 90% of the time that's what seemed to be on the forum's mind.

Now, I haven't created this thread to ridicule and belittle the community. So, any bashing done in this thread is purely unprovoked. I'm not saying I'll be gone forever, I'm simply saying I'm leaving for a good while and -may- return eventually. When and if I do, I hope nobody has any harsh feelings toward me. This forum just so happens to house one of the most intelligible communities I've had the privilege of interacting with.

Can I give a slight estimate as to when I'll return? Quite possibly when the FFXIII craze dies down =P

Really, I've no interest in playing the game, much less discussing it (unlike my mentioning it in this thread, which is purely to analyze my reasoning). So, before I ramble on even further I'll bid all of you adieu. Ta ta~

I understand what you mean about the XIII hype. It was to be expected though, Final Fantasy fans on a forum with the new Final Fantasy coming out. Hehe.

I don't care for the game (yet) either, maybe with time I'll bother to give it a chance. For now I just hang around my own favourite sections. The shoutbox takes turns, no avoiding that.

Fair enough on the FF13 talk. It's not my cup of tea either, especially considering I neither own the game, nor the consoles on which to play it.

As far the FFX RP, the main difficulty there is that there is already a FFX RP under way. In my limited experience, I've found that it's difficult to have two RPs of the same game running successfully simultaneously. Splitting your ticket, and all that. So poor timing more than anything else.

Anyway, for my part, no hard feelings. You seemed a decent sort from what I saw in the SB. So here's hoping you return soon. But if not, no worries.

Understandable. Some SB topics are just not meant for people's taste I suppose. It varies from time to time. Perhaps when you do decide to come back, you'll find the site to be a little more enjoyable but of course, there's no guarantee. But in any case, you take care. =]
