My Avatar...

I cant change my avvy!!!

I logged in, and my avvy was a pic of Squall and Rinoa, and I tried changing it and I cant!!!

help plz?

I dunno if the server move is starting to take affect right now or whether it's just the site being slow at the moment but it could be glitching a bit and making you unable to change it.

Are you uploading the right format for your avatar? Is there an error message popping up?

Or have you tried uploading an avatar to photobucket or another image site and then tried uploading the avatar from a website instead of your computer?

Can't think of anything else that could be the problem.

How far are you actually getting when you try to change the avatar?
Can you even get into the Edit Avatar section of the control panel?

EDIT: And when you say you logged in and your avatar was the Rinoa Squall one, are you saying that it changed on it's own? You didn't change it to that one?

I didnt upload the Squall and rinoa one, but when I edit my avatar, I can get right up to 'save changes', but then it doesn't change! I'll try uploading to a different site, thats the only thing I havent tried yet...

EDIT: I'm gonna change some profile settings to see if its just the "save changes" button or something

...that seemed to work, so my avvys just screwed

Basically, you need to ask for a name change.

This is what I think.

I don't know if you noticed but when you click on your profile, a different name and that avatar comes up.

I do know that, but is it that avvy that comes up? man thats weird...I only have like 1 or 2 weeks left before I can change it again, no worries!

Yes. When I click on your profile, the profile I go to has the same picture as I see as your avatar.

oh ok. well, I logged out, logged back in, changed my avvy and now its blank...I can live with that for a while, its cool

It's the characters in your name that are giving you profile issues, the '=)' part is being confused with another persons' profile. Not sure how that would affect your avatar since that's more manual, though I do remember others having problems like this in the past.

Similar issue I do believe. Also, if anything the upgrade could possibly stamp out a few unwanted quirks here, people not being able to post in threads, edit, change avatars and of course, the lag.

So, hopefully it'll be fixed shortly, it's hard to say but it should fixed in time.

its ok now!!! The server change fixed the avvy thing!
