This mother fucking cast is driving me mental, it smells, I can't clean it because water makes it dissolve/lose its form. I can't play my guitar properly, or get a job for money.


I swear to fuckery I am never playing sports again.
 
o.o I didn't even know you did anything to your arm. What the hell happened exactly?

Yeah =/ I remember when my little sister broke her wrist while roller blading. That wasn't a pretty sight either.

So what were you playing, Finn and how bad did you break it?
 
I was wrestling bears......yup.....


Alright I was playing basketball with some friends about 7 weeks ago now, and we got bored (as you do) so we decided to try slam dunking it. Few attempts, realised we needed to be taller.

Then Captain Calamity here comes up with the idea

"Hey, If I get on your shoulders, and someone passes me the ball I can dunk it and hang off the hoop!"

All I can say is, it worked the first four times, and the basket went in five times. The fifth was to be my undoing, I lost my balance reaching for the hoop, fell off his shoulders backwards put my left arm out to break my fall, and broke bones instead.

It was dislocated and broken, so they sedated me, cracked it back into place, and I had an operation on it a week later to put wires inside to make sure the bone heals in the right position.

Got the wires out now though (NOT FUN, It's like pulling teeth without anaesthetic)

Only a week tomorrow though and it comes off, but it's driving me up the fucking wall.
 
Owwww fucking hell, Finn. They didn't sedate you or try and numb you when they pulled out the wires? That is fucking harsh >.< Glad to hear you're doing better now and will be able to get the cast off soon. I can imagine it's hell.

Nope, no sedation at all. Well to be fair the only bit that hurt was the twisting to loosen it, as the fucker twisted it, and left it there for 3 minutes to find some bigger pliers. The actual pulling I didn't feel, the twisting bit I did.

It would be coming off tomorrow, however I have Drama Tech rehearsals all day which if I miss, I will get flayed by my lecturer, so they re-scheduled it for a week later.
 
i broke my am twice, i used to stick a cake knife down it to itch it :neomon:

Oh I do say, I was not aware that one knitted! I say we get together for tea and bourbons one Sunday, I'll bring my cat! How bout it chappy 8D
 
*cringes* I just can't even begin to imagine how much it must suck to wear that fucking thing. At least it's finally coming off next week :)

If I had known you'd broken your arm sooner, I'd made you some sammiches and fed 'em to you ;) :wacky: I do owe you quite a few xD
