How often do you use the 360's music overlay feature? In case you're not sure of the feature to which I refer, I speak of the one that allows you to play music from your 360 hard drive, iPod, or PC while playing a 360 game.

Personally, I do not use it during RPGs, even though the voices in game still come through crystal clear. I typically use it in 1st person shooter games, as long as it does not ruin the atmosphere. With online play, it is almost a definite... as I do not usually communicate with my teammates anyhow... unless I'm calling them some racial or sexual slur.

I use that all the time. I love being able to use that feature when i have already beat the game and playing it over. Wish the PS3 had the feature and the psp but they don't

I use it all the time. Especially in Halo, since there is no music when you play online. I have often been heard singing along as i kill people lol my team mates find it rather amusing most of the time. Especially when it goes to the one Britney Spears song I have on there :wacky:

I didn't even know that's possible until now. Haven't really spent as much time with my XBox 360 since the whole "I can't read the damn text" deal is still bugging me. Gotta wait 'til I get an HDTV. But this is definitely good to know. I'll make sure to take advantage of it when I uh, get some songs in there sometime...which I gotta figure out how still. I'm not that bothered though - my laptop's always on anyway so I can play songs from there.

I've come to use my 360 now more frequently than my computer. My songs are all on my iPod, which is linked directly to my 360. I can stream Netflix movies through my 360, which allows me to watch shows like The Office at any time. And whenever I'm on my 360, I'm also on MSN... and with the keyboard attachment to my controller it's a snap talking to several people at once while watching a movie on Netflix or playing a game.

Just about in all my games I use it, I have both a 360 (my main system) and a ps3 and when i got a ps3 I tried to overlap the music and it wouldnt let me. The thing is when i play my rpgs and im "training" I do get bored of the in game in music so i play my custom soundtracks (from other rps and ones on that was on ps2) and 360 is better for me because of that. Its the main reason im getting FFXIII - 2 on 360 instead of ps3 so when i train I cna listen to mmusic from the first one xD

But in most of my games I always use it so its the main feature that makes me like it better than a ps3 and the fact of having a gamerscore which ps3 doesnt and i rather get ahcievements than a trophy any day xD
