There are quite a lot a final fantasy games that are multi player now and days. Like final fantasy 9 and other in the main series but mostly where you have four characters. Also the Tactics War of the lion for PSP, and that crystal caravan one for Game cube.

I myself like the multi player mode as I play with some friends of mine. I let my friend play 9 where he explored and I helped battle. It was a good exprience and if you've noticed in Charlies Angels when drew barrymore is rolling down the hill and crash in some kids house, they are playing FF8 as if it was two players. Not at all is that game two players lol I tried.

So have you played a two player final fantasy game with some one else? If so how did you like it? What are your thoughts on it? Did you think it made the game easier with two minds? Or did the other person just get in your way?

I'm trying to find a list with all the two or more player games with the final fantasy logo on it. I'll have to get back on that though.

Edit heres some:
Final Fantasy IV (playstation)
Final Fantasy V ("")
Final Fantasy VI ("")
Final Fantasy IX ("")
Final Fantasy War of the Lions (PSP)
Final Fantasy Dissidia (PSP)
Final Fantasy XI (ps2, PC, X-box)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (Game Cube)

I don't know about any of the others but IX's "multiplayer" was horribly fake and detrimental. There was no multiplayer option for playing in the main game, it just applied to battles. Whilst in a battle, you had to divide up the characters between the players. Using the same line of characters between two players was incredibly difficult, it involved discussions with the other player (or orders, if it was my little cousin: "just ATTACK, FUCKING HEAL ME!!!"). It was more of a hinderance than anything else and I only ever used it when my little cousin wanted to play FF with me...even then, I just pretended he was using it. xD

No multiplayer, please. Versus modes are a different story.

I didn't even know IX had a multiplayer mode, never mind any of the other mentioned. Tbh, I doubt I'd everuise the features anyway, Im far too much of a perfectionist/selfish...? (Cant think of the word) Id just be barking out orders and screaming WHY DO TYOU DO THAT, if someone where to use a spell and waste my MP of god forbid, use an elixer. I'd go mental. It's MY game and I don't want no one joining in ruining it :wacky:

I can't even let people play their OWN files on a game without interfering, so 2 player on MY file? I perish the thought......

I heard about a multiplayer thing in FFIX but I never understood how it worked or how to use it. I never knew that there was a multiplayer feature for IV, V and VI  I don't think I would like it though, I prefer to play games like Final Fantasy by myself so I can concentrate on the story more.

I am the same way, it would feel like the other person is sort of messing up the story, at least for me if they wanted to go at a different pace for me. That doesnt work well for turn based RPGs, but works great for action RPGs

I hate multiplayer in general, but I'm fairly sure this is a hold over from a childhood of getting my ass handed to me in Mortal Kombat because my bitch ass sister just kept using the same fucking move over and over.

Anyways, I've never played FF multiplayer, and aside from Tactics games, I don't think it would work well at all. Too boring and unnecessarily frustrating.

I'd hate to have an multi-player FF game, I much prefer playing Final Fantasy on my own. I'd just bark out orders pretty much, and be pissed off if they did something I didn't like. And, if I was playing multi-player I'd be too worried about them fucking it up, rather than being able to concentrate on the story properly D=

I never actually knew there was multiplayer in any FF's other then the handheld versions...

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions had my favourite multiplayer feature because you could team up with friends or fight them to see who has the better party. It was super fun to fight with you characters against friends which i was never used to in other Final Fantasy Games.

I've only ever played the multiplayer on FFIX and i thought it was absolutely miserable. It didn't make much sense at all, and it was detrimental to the natural flow of battle. I remember telling my brother that it had a multiplayer, and he was like "i'd rather watch you play or the other way around". and that's what we did. Growing up, he used to watch me play FF's and now that he's older, he's started to play them too. (not so much the core series, as much as the KH series but still).
