As ive said in another thread - 4 of the "main" characters in FFIX are basically just filler characters, so im asking you to please vote on the most worthless out of them all - think story-wise and battle-wise combined :D
 
I think you have to vote for Quina...

First off, what the hell is it?
Second, what the hell gender is it?
Third, what the hell is it doing in your party?

Yes, because you've yet to provide a valid reason for why he's useless.

I went for Amarant myself. Would the story have been critically different without him? Did we need him to fight? Did we like him? My answer to each of these questions is a solid 'No'.
 
Well, my vote is between Quina and Amarant. But more to amarant, wasnt a good character at all, and was not important in the story.
 
I chose Eiko, simply because I found her healing powers and summons completely and utterly lacking in comparison to Garnet's. I also chose her because, well, she never really did anything storywise besides go for Zidane...oh, and the whole Alexander thing, but that wasn't much of anything...

Oh, and then there is also the fact that she used flutes, which did absolutely nothing in battle, and tennis rackets, which Garnet could use as well. In fact, the only useful thing I ever found her to use for was pheonix, and that is only because Garnet couldn't use it.
 
I dun think the cast of eight charcters are useless, i think they are great, but marcus and the guys were total crap, why were they put into battles ? I mean give them one or two attacks to use, and beatrix why wasnt she usable in the game she was great :)
 
Im not sure i thought they all have their own individual purposes so i dont think i can choose.
 
I'm going for Amarant. He just came out of no where and joined the party pretty late in the game I think.
 
I voted for Quina. I hated when I had to put it in my party. It just wasn't very good in battle and the spork-like weapons didn't do consistent damage. Reminded me of Cait Sith *shutters*
 
Eiko, mainly because when she joins the party shes unleveled and its a nightmare leveling her up and all her abilites are useless 'cause you have garnet there and finally she's the "yuffie" of the group
 
Freya. She's indespensible when you HAVE to have her, but the next time you can use her, she's half the level of zidane. She's almost impossible to train after the third disc. her only use after cleyra is going to Oelvert so that someone half decent can be left behind.
 
You know, I voted for Amarant because I think he's just a token eighth character (honestly, I think they just put him in so you didn't have an odd number), but after thinking about it, Quina is probably the most useless... Can't you skip out on the option to have her entirely? I've never done it, but isn't it possible to never get her if you don't go in the swamps (other than getting to Gargan Roo)?
 
I voted Marcus/Cinna/Blank. I mean, what's the point?

I actually liked Quina. If you had him "eat" your enemies, he learned their magic every time. He actually became a vital and strong member of my team.
