I would have to say this is the most challenging Final Fantasy yet. Without powerlvling and getting the +150 ATK PWR Zodiak Spear.. this game has seriously got me pulling out many different strategies to beat things. Hince the reason I love this game, because it's not a push over.

I have played and beat - FF I, III, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII

The others I never got around to playing. So what do you Ladies and Gents think?

i have to agree. im leveling up as i type this. but its ok cause its the only time im gonna have to do it i think cause i dont run away from any fiens. vaan is at lv 37 with everyone else around levels 31-32.

I found this one to be very easy imo. lol. but that's just the main storyline, including the hunts.

no ways, if youve played and finished ffvii even thats harder, not to mention ffX's chambers of the fayth. they are by far harder than the puzzles to get espers in this game, and more than 70% of the espers dont require a puzzle to get. Its abit styrange to adjust to real tiem battles if you havnt played games like Dragon quest etc. But i find final fantasy series arn't actually that hard to figure out if youve played other rpg's. They are my favourite series by far, but there are alot more skillfully made, better characters, and puzzling labrynths in other games. but yeah, ffxii is one of the more challenging in the series.

Bah, Espers in this are not comparitive to any of the other "Summons" or "Materia" - Honestly Espers in this game are terrible to use. There are only a few situations in which I could think of where they actually help and that generally has to do with Elemental bosses. If you stick to the main story line most of the bosses are a joke. If you do the side quests including Gilgamesh and all the lvl 60+ Marks, you will see what I mean by hard.

Everything is easy when you lvl up beyond the recommended lvl, granted - so finish all the marks + the lvl 99 boss, and then tell me what you think about it.

I've found it a lot more challenging then FFX but I am doing the main story line and as many hunts and side quests as I can as I go. It takes a lot more strategy to take down some of the bosses especially since the espers have been pretty much nerfed in this one.

I agree, when you finish this game 100% there are ALOT harder things then the main story. e.g All the espers you find along the game are piss weak, but if you find any additional ones, like the one when you use the stone of condemner in temple of miriam's waystone, thats reasonably hard, getting Adrammelech is easy, Exodus/Ex-Death is pretty hard and getting Ultima - Holy angel SUCKS!!! finishing all the optional bosses sucks, the game gets harder once you know where to go other than the story. FFxii isnt as challenging as other final fantasy's, no where near, but its still a good game.

I honestly haven't found this game to be terribly difficult, at least not up to the point I'm at. Which is only about 12 hours into the story line. The last hunt that I did was the Wyvren Lord. So I've got a good deal of game to cover yet.

Ya, from all the the FF's i played.

FF7 was the hardest to complete.

Heh, just wait till you go to Pharos a 2nd time for the Mark in the basement... now that's non stop fighting.

After the mark keep progressing down to the next two levels..

I will say this is the "Optional" end game content people are talking about.. because this place is way harder than any zone including: Nebreus Deadlands, Henne Mines, Lhushu Mines sec 11 ,5, Barheim Passage, Necroholis of Nabudis, Bahamut.

Each mob hits for 1000-2000 with Maxamillion armor on. Also you have to worry about the Mob's Technick that KO's you instantly. Another thing is.. you have to worry about is the Multiple lvl 59 Bones that cast Firaga/Blizzaga - then there are creatures who cast Scourge.. but the worst.. is going to have to be the magic pots. If you don't give the magic pot an elixer, prepared to die if you attack it. It hits for 5000 a pop and hits REALLLY fast, plus uses flare on your party. There are a number of mobs in which I would have called a sench when they stand in groups of 3 to 4 - but when you have 11 or so of them standing around you.. prepare for some Strategy. And yes, Bubble/Hastaga/Shellga/Bravery is a must in some sections.

89 Hours
Currently lvl 72,70,70 - I have died more times at this place than any of the other places combined. I have every single spell - using the tippet amulets for double exp still. (This place is amazing EXP)

i think thats a hard one to answer.....i'm definately better at rpg's now then i was at say the time ffi came out for the nes. i still think that that game worked me more than the others since then have....i wish the developers would put a difficulty switch in the start of the game...lol...its kinda cool that the games flow so well these days, but my whole party rarely gets completely wiped out anymore!!
