I'm sure there is a method to the madness but I sure haven't found it yet. When you enter an area with enemies, there is a option box that has the title "Monsters in the Area". Sometimes if I'm just entering a new area, I want to fight less enemies and only the easier ones until I get my stats up. I tried clicking high and low on the list but it seems completely random. Is that correct? There's no way to control how many enemies you face at one time?

The other thing is, sometimes there is an enemy I really want to face. For instance I'm in the Volcano area. I'm not quite strong enough to face the ice golem but the fire wyrm looks right up my alley. If I click on him and then click hunt, there's no guarantee I will be facing him. Is there any way to control that?

There is no way to control what monsters you are fighting. It is set by a ramdom encounter setting. Some monsters are set at a higher encounter than others.

Yes, it is generally the easier ones that get higher encounter. But there could be other reasons for the encounter settings. One reason could be that the area's theme requires high encounter monsters.

It makes sense and I get why you did it. It'd be convenient to pick and choose... but where's the fun in that, I guess. lol There must be a lot of cool things you can do with the program because it can't be all stats against stats. I can hit the ice golem with a defense of 300 but not take anything off of the flan's with only 120. So you must actually be able to make certain creatures immune to physical attacks or something.

Also, not sure whether it was intentional or not but under weapon stats it says "defence" not "defense". Which either means the person developing that part of the game misspelled the word or is from the UK, since that's apparently their spelling of the word.

That's becasue the flan cannot be damaged psychically, it can only be hurt with magic, just like in the game. Many of the monsters will resemble those in the FF series, so if you have played them alot, your knowledge can come in handy.

And the person who is making the game is from the UK (i believe so, i forgot :p) And something as small as a mispelled word is not very important, missing code that could make the game glitch will be payed more attention to before a misspelled word.

You can hurt a flan with physical attacks in an FF game. Any FF game. It won't hit for much but you can definitely do it. It's not even a rare occurance. All I was saying was it was nice to see the unique features of the game being put to good use.

ahh, ok, sorry about the mixed message, i haven't had much sleep.

And there are plenty more unique monsters in the game, so enjoy:cool:

Yeah there is something wrong with that cause not even I can hurt flan which should get hurt since I out rank there Def. Also I don't mind random encounters but I can't stand those Lamia they are pains in my side.

They were made to be a pain. They keep ya busy don't they:P
Every monster has a weakpoint, be it a instant kill chance or a low Mag Def.

Scan them and find their weak points, this will help.

Lamia r easy, and if he scanned them he won't find the weak point, but I found it after fighting them and I found it when I was lvl 63 :P
