I love when you battle the DMW spins and Zack's emotion's change.
I was about to die when facing Sephiroth until I got the DMW of 3 images of Genesis, giving me the power materia "Apocalypse"

Ye, I always saw the DMW to be a great life saver. But i think the best DMW would be Sephiroth's Octaslash. The total damage probably tops the charts...

By the way, which difficulty did you play? I started with Easy, now moving to the next.

Yeah, it's a pretty cool system that comes in handy. I always thought Tseng's Air Strike was helpful when going against many enemies at once. (For example, the missions with the Shinra Troops)

Cissneis Lucks Stars and Aeriths Healing Wave always made me do a silent woohoo when I got them, all attacks critical was just <3. although Aeriths was probably better just because of invinsibilty. It's saved my butt on more than one occassion

Lucky Stars' another good one. All hits critical, really is helpful especially against boss battles or anything else for that matter.

Healing Wave was more a relief, usually restored my health to full when it comes. Saves me the effort of having to cast Cure all the way to 9999, which was my health thanks to the powers of Materia Fusion.

It can be quite a pain in the ass aswel. I was farming some ATK stones some place and everytime the DMW came I couldn't steel anymore because the target had already died.
So I put the curse ring on.
Then when I finally took it off I leveld twice in a row. But it can come in quite handy sometimes too.

Haha, I love the way that thing saved my hide. Like, playing that random orange flying guy on the bridge. I'd be getting my butt handed to me, running around casting heal, and then all the sudden *little machinery noises* Modulating Phase.

And I'd be like...(to myself) Oh sweet goodness.

The only thing I did hate was when it teased you, and then didn't give you anything. Oh sweet! Two Genesis'! ...And a Cissnei in the middle...
...And now I'm dead.

Also, sometimes I was a little TOO lucky. Like, I'd get a Cissnei, followed by a Sephiroth two seconds later, and then an Angeal, and etc. Then the boss wasn't even worth fighting because I just sat back and watched the little movies play out while the giant robot silently prayed to Jebus.

Haha, as a sidenote- Tseng's Air Strike always made me laugh. "I'm trying! I'm trying!" *Kaboosh with a buncho missiles, bitch!*

Haha, yeah I found that pretty funny too.

When facing multiple enemies Air strike was quite useful.

However when I was facing a single enemy I would always hope to get either Octoslash because of the multiple hits or Healing Wave because the Invincibility came in very handy and saved me a few times.

Lucky Stars wasn't that useful for me, for most of my attacks I would roll behind the enemy and hit crits, so Lucky Stars didn't make that much of a difference for me.

the modulation phase was just a nuisance to me. i had enough HP and MP so i never had to worry about being saved, but until i got Heike Soul, i had to deal with it.

now i use the SP to give me power boosts for magic so i deal 99,999 every time and heal 99,999 every heal.

You know, I remember people complaining with colorful language on how they hated the new system... until people got used to it. But what is also helpful is to equip certain materia to increases your chances on getting that limit.
