Despite what sales data might tell you, Electronic Arts still wants to see Faith continue her adventure.

Patrick Soderlund, senior vice president at EA Games Europe, told Videogamer the company plans on releasing a sequel to the innovative first-person platformer.

"You will see another Mirror's Edge for sure. It's just a matter of when that time is and what we do with it. We have a small team on it and I'm excited about what we do."

Mirror's Edge was definitely a love it or hate it type of game. Would you play a Mirror's Edge 2? What improvements would you want to see?

Would you want a spinoff? Say, following Mercury's days as a Runner?

I, personally, liked Mirror's Edge a lot, and a sequel would be needed to improve on some of the kinks this game had. Hopefully, it would appeal to a larger audience than the first one did and hopefully everyone will give it a chance.

It was an extremely original game that, to steal John Riccitiello's words, "deserves to come back".

I'm mixed, I wouldn't mind seeing a prequel though to the story with the runners against the government, or something like that. I'm not entirely sure how the history of it went. My only concern would be where they'd take it, on the whole I liked it the game (albeit a bit repetitive after a while) and the story was good.

They just need to strike a balance of keeping it's originality but changing enough so it feels a lot different. Like Assassin's Creed II for example.

I completely agree with Cid's post. The game was original, and it was person specific for sure, but It was not as much focused on the game, as it was focused on telling an original story through a different medium than usual. I was impressed with the game, and the concepts that went into it. I would definitely play another Mirror's Edge. I really enjoyed the control layout. If you try to show it, or tell it to anybody who hasn't played the game, it sounds ridiculous. For Mirror's Edge, this awkward control scheme just worked.
I look forward to this sequel.
