A Glimpse At Day To Night, An Unreleased Horror Game From Midway
By Spencer . January 4, 2011 . 3:37am
Hot on the heels of our Hero news, we present Day to Night another unreleased and unannounced project from Mortal Kombat makers Midway. Environment art suggests Day to Night is a horror game. One scene shows a creature (zombie?) creeping up on a person with a dim flashlight.

That’s Artwork From Hero, A Canned Midway Game
By Spencer . January 3, 2011 . 2:19am
Before Midway collapsed they had a number of in-development games like This is Vegas and a lesser known title simply called Hero.
Concept art from Hero shows a person armed with a sword in the center of a ruined city. The impressive artwork comes from Stephan Martiniere who worked as a the creative visual director at Midway’s Chicago office for a number of years.

More Amazing Artwork And Details About Midway’s Canceled Game, Hero
By Spencer . January 10, 2011 . 3:01am
After discovering the first piece of stunning art from Hero we were on a quest to find out more about the axed Midway project.
Hero was in development in 2008. Given the timeframe it was likely a current generation game with a concept that sounds similar to the TV show series "Heroes." Hero is centered around characters with different special powers.
Artist Tae young Choi painted this picture of a character with a tail who has super strength. In the background, laser beams from a satellite on the fritz are slicing through everything in their path.

This character has the power to control water. Choi wanted to make the water form a dragon, an idea rejected by his boss.

This man with a sword, perhaps the same sword carrying hero from Martiniere’s art, has the power to jump really high.
One part of Hero takes place in Chicago, an interesting local choice since Midway has a studio there. Concept art shows Chicago’s loop and a subway scene.
An office fight reveals a hero with some kind of shield or force field power.

This awe inspiring piece of art is from a battle scenes in Hero. A character who appears to control electricity and the jumping hero face off on the wingtip of Air Force One.
… that would have been quite a fight to play, but sadly Hero is canceled.
