Metal

Me and my boyfriend are getting into Hammerfall and Im liking their latest album. The video to Natural High is amazing. Plus Im getting into ManOWar. Guess you'd class them as metal would you?

I'm not too into a lot of the nu-metal crap.

I think I'm always going to like old Metallica and Black Label Society. Killswitch Engage is not bad, although I like their old stuff more than their new stuff. I'm also fond of Cradle of Filth, Children of Bodom, Opeth, and Lacuna Coil. I can't really be bothered to name them all at the moment.

I probably didn't classify any of this stuff correctly, but there are way too many subgenres to list and I just like to keep it all under one category: heavy.

One of my biggest true loves are always going to be grunge and alternative stuff. As long as they can get creative with the guitar, I'm open to it.

Bringing back the metal thread.

I'm a metal head. My top ranking bands are:
Cradle of Filth
Kamelot
Dimmu Borgir
In Flames
DragonForce

I like near any decent metal in general provided they have decent solos here and there and arent commercial based.

I'm into a lot of melodic metal and metalcore such
Avenged Sevenfold
Bring Me The Horizon
Every Time I Die
Parkway Drive
Thrice
old Trivium
Killswitch Engage
Bullet For My Valentine
new Linkin Park
etc.

Same here, just scratch Trivium and Parkway Drive from that list, and add Darkest Hour and From Autumn to Ashes.

I thinking of delving into some Christian Black Metal tonight to see what my bitch-ass Preacher of a Mother thinks of it. Suggestions?

Yes. I would suggest listening to some Common Yet Forbidden. These guys have been around for a while, but I don't think they ever signed on to any major lebels. They toured not too long ago, and made a stop here in my city. the show they put on was the only act that got the mosh pits going. Out of 5 bands, that's sayin something. They absolutely melted off my face.
