zack snyder said recently that there's a point when you see zod destroy a satellite, which has the wayne industries logo on it.

he hasn't said any more about it, so who knows if batman will pop up in it, or maybe even john blake, but it certainly sounds like a signal of intent for the future regarding the justice league.
 
so i thought it was pretty great. it certainly has its flaws, i thought the first half was very backstory heavy, and had a bit too much character building. the second half (when zod comes to earth) was when all the action kicked off, and they were all rather spectacular. there's a great flying fight scene that reminded me of the one between agent smith and neo in the third matrix.

i didn't care much for henry cavill's clark kent - i thought the scene when he meets jor-el for the first time left a lot to be desired, and i'd have liked it if there had been some sort of significant struggle to overcome when he first flew. having said that, his reaction to his earth father's death was spot on. and kevin costner was perfect for that role.

i've heard a lot of criticism for the destruction value of the film, which i have to agree with because metroplois got absolutely ruined, and more than a bit of it was superman's fault, but in a way i quite like it that way because it made him a more raw character that they can build on in the future. it's also very easy to see where a sequel will come from.
