GOD DAMNIT(sry 4 language) . OMG THIS DUDE IS A PAIN IN THE @$$!!!!! IM TRYING TO GET THE DOOM TRAIN BUT WTF!!!! STUPID BAD BREATH!!! UGH MY POINT IS I CANT USE QUISTIS'S DEGENERATOR CUZ SHE JUST GETS IMMEDIATELY KILLED. IS THERE A REALLY FAST WAY TO GET PAIN,AND SLEEP!!:holyshit::cry:
(note tht i dnt have bahamut and eden and doomtrain) -_-(if pain and sleep can be acquired through refine. tell me which items and where to get them)

You can just spam other GF's on it. Note that it's weak against fire and ice, immune to Earth and it absorbs poison. This guy has alot of Hp so try fighting it like you would fight a boss battle. Keep alot of remedys on hand or esunas and you should be good :P
 
Have you got Odin? taht and a high luck stat will help - well if you get lucky and he appears, just to be sure to save every battle

Or inititive on quistis with low health, insta-kill them with marlboro
 
true but then it uses bad breath to soon. i know how to counter tht. i use pain and sleep junctioned maybe confuet.therefore i need a fast way to find these stats. and if u think there is a better stat junction. tell me pls. i cnt use quistis cuz shes low in lvl and can get killed easily. and odin never ever appeared. and i battled malboro like 20 times!! and i have odin!!!
 
Like I said. Get her on Low health, GIVE HER INITIATIVE. Low level Quistis won't be an issue. all you want is her degenerator

Odin just appears on luck, he wont appear everytime, you pretty much just have to keep dying/restarting afew times til you get lucky
 
I see the Quistis and Degenerator method have been mentioned, so I'll talk about the items. Sleeps can be refined from Sleep Powder, which you can get from Grats in the Balamb Garden Training Center. You can even Draw Sleep from them if you prefer that method (which you can do in 1 battle). And you can refine Pains from Mystery Fluids, which you can get from the Gayla Cards or you can Mug them from Gayla's near Trabia Garden. You can also draw Pains from mid or higher leveled Elnoyles in Esthar (in the city area). You can actually create encounters with Elnoyles from the guy on one of the screens by talking to him. The screen with a T intersection with the higher platform on the same screen (this guy will be on the lower part though). He disappears after you've fought the Elnoyle, just simply leave Esthar and come back if you're looking for another encounter to acquire Energy Crystals for the best weapons.
 
The best way to counter Bad Breath is to equip/learn a GF with the ST-Def-Jx4 (to add 4 stat def slots) to your character. Junction Pain, Sleep, Berserk and Confuse to the these 4 slots. If your lucky and own the Pocketstation you can require a item called Ribbon (exclusive to the Pocketstation) to equip. This will give you immunity to all status changes except for Death. You could also refine Malboro cards into Marlboro Tentacles with the Card Mod ability.

hey shaun. where do u get thht stat defx4. right now i dnt have any. and no, i dnt want to do the degenerator and its very cheap. feels like you dnt accomplish something.

Both Doomtrain and Cerberus (must learn ST-Def-Jx2 first) have the Ability to learn ST-Def-Jx4. Status Guard items can also be used to learn the ST-Def-Jx4 on a GF.

1) The Shumi Village sidequest (Complete both parts of the sidequest) can get you one Status Guard.

2) A common drop would be from the Tiamat boss (remember to draw Eden aswell since this will be the best place to get the GF) in Ultimecia Castle on disc 4.

3) Also using the Angelo Search can reward you with this (rare).

4) 1 Ribbon (Pocketstation required) into 1 Status Guard using GFABL Med-RF

So learn the ability from Doomtrain and Cerberus GF's for two of the players then the other from the above options.

Side note:

Amnesia Greens are required for a GF to forget a ability before learning a new one (if ability list is full). Amnesia Greens are sold at the Timber Pet Store.

well i dnt have pocketstation, it wouldnt apply cuz i downloaded it from the ps3. i wouldnt rely on angelo search. -_-. i have no idea how to finish shumi sidequest. i dont plan kiling tiamat just yet. :/ wat about getting it through certain refinery.

The Doomtrain card via Card Mod refines into 3 Status Guard's.

Here is a link to how to complete the Shumi Village sidequest below. Make sure to complete both parts of the side quest to get the Status Guard item.
