Main characters being "special"

basically every character in final fantasy is remembered for something ex. the character's from 7 cid was i guess you could say gear head or obsessed with tech person barret was the mr.t of final fantasy (i dont care what any body says he so reminds me of him!) yuffie was the hyper active knuckle head red 13 was the creature character of the game aeris was the black mage ect every one in the crew has a role to play regardless of what the character is.

*coughs* Sorry to derail the thread momentarily, but Aerith was a white mage, not a black mage. Anyway, just thought I'd point that out. Carry on! ^_^

I've read this somewhere before, but I can't find it now...

I agree with someone who said that it helps them bond more with the characters. This definitely helps me in the same way.

I don't like it if they're all like...

Oh my parents died at this and this age, I'm having major issues, this and this happened to me - you know those drama characters where all the wrong that can happen - has happened to them.

I'm always like... Erm. Yeah.

But... Most of the time with the characters of FF it's enough to have me bond with them and feel for them in a way. :D

Isn't every person unique?

I personally like this and prefer it to ordinary characters. If I wanted to see ordinary I'd just quit video games.

And let's not forget that those with the power in our world,or famous(as in singer, actor) have somethin that makes them stand out from the average people,be it talent or whatever.
