Terra's art!

So, I like draw and stuff. I'll post all my stuff, when updated, here. I hope I put this in the right place.

Welcome!

Everything I make will be neatly (as I can get it) put away under spoiler tags of categories so that if I ever update this on a massive scale, I'll know where to go to look at some of my art, or even my viewers.

Any feedback will be welcomed! Thanks for looking and I hope you'll stick around for updates! :D

*I have more images, but they are too big. So I'm editing this post and putting the urls instead.*

So, working on a new found love of mine! I stupidly followed the tutorial TOO much and did the same size as the creator and ended up loving what I have so far. But now its soo tiny... :(

What do you guys think? It isn't finished, needs vegetation, trees, rivers etc

I hope I am allowed to double when updates are available...

I decided to redo the above version but bigger. Now the screen I'm posting isn't full size, but I didn't want to stretch the page or anything. Any of the old images will be edited into urls for the sake of people visiting this thread lol

Wow you're spritework is AMAZING! You must show me what tutorial's you went through to make such a detail sprite! It's this that's holding up the game I'm making and I've never found any good tutorials on sprite making. I love your work though! It's really good. I mistook the DBZ picture for an actual picture of the show xD Amazing work <3

Oh wow thanks! All three of these tutorials seem like they can help! I've tried making sprites before but it just seemed like so much work and I sucked at it! Thanks for the help and I'll definitely keep on practicing! Hopefully with a lot of practice I can make it to your level of spriting :yay:

And your first sprite looked just fine! :P

You're welcome. If you want some suggestions, I could give them to you:

When spriting, sprite on layers for hair, clothes, shoes, scares etc. That way, if you make a mistake you can click that layer without having to restart the whole thing and remember to save it as the editable file for the graphics program. Also, start with recoloring. Recoloring allows you to understand the folds, lighting, shapes and more and once you do that a few times, probably for two days or three, start spriting two different sprite pieces together, or spriting on your own. Your sprite may not look good at first, but I promise you if you keep practicing in one week, you'll see a BIG difference. :)

A manga coloring I did. I finally found it on my drive! It was a coloring panel for a fanmade manga for Darker than BLACK released in Japan. A friend of mine wanted a colored piece, so I decided on this one. It was my first coloring (second being the Dragon Ball one :/).

Colored in GIMP before I got CS5 and used a Mouse most of the time, Genius Tablet for the blue sky behind Yin (girl).

Working on my spriting skills again. I decided to remake an older sprite I made the start of this year. I hope my art shop can have all forms of art in in. >.>

Bigger version (by 200x):

I think the lighting on the bangs looks a bit weird, but what do you guys think? :olivia:

Anyways, that's it for the update! ;)

I like the first one's line art better, but I really like how the second is drawn; I think they are both good; keep it up :)

You can definitely tell you are getting better too.

Thanks! I wanna get really good, just like that Deviantart person you showed me. xD
That art was amazing!

How about this lineart version? I'm watching tutorials on youtube on how to work with SAI and learning all the functions.

Its a lot better than drawing in Photshop, GIMP or Corel at least. lol
