My friend needs a bit of help. He noticed that some Mages when they cast spells some of them nifty Final Fantasy Tactics quotes, like "Fire, rise from the ground and burn all greenery! Fira!" Well, he doesn't know how to, and he's supposed to be getting the game soon so I'm helping him by getting help. He wants a certain Macro for black magic and white magic.
For black magic they want the macro to be "Open Ether Circut (spell name here)"
And white magic they want "Mystic power, grant me a miracle! (spell name here)"

All help is appreciated. :)
 
*tries to rein his memories* Well i believe you /say then put what you want said in quotations. Then you need to proper text for you spell it self. ex /ma "Cure" <t>. Which would cast the white magic spell cure on whatever target you pick.
 
I'm pretty sure it was like this.

For Black Magic:

(Macro Name) Fire
(First line) /ma "Fire" <t>
(Second line) /p "I'm going to burn your ass to the ground!"

Or White Magic

(Macro Name) Cure
(First Line) /ma "Cure" <me>
(Second Line) /p "I couldn't think of anything to say for White Magic, but hopefully you get the idea."

I can't remember but I am positive that for the first lines you have to put the "" before and after the spell name.
 
Zidane has it right for the most part yea the top box would be your spell, then the various lines are for the actions.

If you would use the /p the messge would only appear while in party and casting the spell, while /s messege will appear no matter when you cast spell.
 
i never used a shout which would be /sh, but ive uses a /s for my smn

/s come forth the one with the ruby

it was for carbuncle, /ma "Carbuncle", that how the rest of it went i think.

In this game, youll be casting these spells hundreds of times, seeing the quote once is amusing, over and over kinda gets irritating for other members, so just watch out for that.

Using shout means the whole area can hear you, this irratates people and will get you added to blacklists.
