I'm a very creative person. And my friends in real life typically find that out rather quickly. Thus, I thought I'd share some art with the people on this site.

First is a surrealistic drawing of of a katana close-up with blood. What makes it surreal is the direction in which most of the blood is dripping.

[p.s., The picture is called 'Awkward Silence' and is named so after the three blood drops floating in the air that seem to form a '...' synonymous with silence.]

Very nice. The dripping blood looks almost real since you made good use of your shadowing skills. Could use some more work on the blade though.

Yeah. xD I typically get that when I show it to people. I'm not really good with shading at all, actually, which is mostly apparent with my people drawings... http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs10/i/2006/134/0/1/A_Person_by_CidKuneraze.jpg

This picture shows my lack of shading skills with people, and also an early anime-style attempt which is a year old or more, I think... Also, he's rather skinny. xD It looks better zoomed in.

Your shading skills are nice but you really need to work on proportions. I'm going to offer you some constructive crit. The body is way too thin. The arms are too long and the hands need some work. The head should be a bit smaller. You don't want to make the head bigger than the body because then the drawing looks off-balance. Have you tried looking into any How to Draw Human Proportion tutorials? Try doing that. Also, use guidelines when you draw, they help out immensely ^_^ Good luck!
