This game is pretty damn classic, so I shall put it in this section. (And the fact that it expands to both PSX and DS, so this seems more like the proper location).

So, anyone played the series yet? I'm currently looking at ebay and saw the new Lunar release: Lunar: Dragon Song for the DS. I'm contemplating whether I should buy it or not. I've read a few reviews and the ratings are so-so.

I've played Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete, and I must say that it's one of my favorite RPGs aside from Final Fantasy, Arc the Lad, and Grandia. The soundtracks are awesome and quite catchy. The dialogue and translation was well done, which includes a lot of humor and wit. (I remember a mention of Britney Spears' Oops I Did It Again from one of the NPC and made me chuckle). Working Designs are popular for that, which I like. xD

Anyway, there is also the classic Lunar: Silver Star Story. I have yet to play this game. I would buy it right now, but the problem is that for a brand new sealed game, it costs over $170.00 and $50 - $80 for a used game. How about that, huh?

So, anyone played any of the series? Discuss. =)

I played silver star story for the playstation, I don't remember much about it though. It was a good game, maybe not good enough for me to go back and play it, but it stood out among the playstation rpg's.

Played all of the games except for Dragon Song. I think that the original games for the Sega CD were the best. The PlayStation remakes were not bad but not nearly as good as the originals. The Lunar for the GBA was crap and ruined some of the story that was put out by the previous titles.

Lunar Silver Star and Lunar Eternal Blue are in the top 5 of the best RPG's I've ever played. Well worth the pain of trying to get the Sega CD emulator to work on your comp. I recommend this series to all RPG fans.

I Have played Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete both on the PSX. They are amazing games. The storyline in both of them keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are memorable and the battle system is excellent.
I still can't decide which one I like more but, I am leading towards Lunar: SSSC. The ending scene is just so amazing.
Alex walking up the stairs to be reunited with Luna, as Luna shoots lightning bolts at him. He plays his ocarina and the spell on her is lifted. He gives up his Dragon master Powers and they are finally reunited.

Anyways both games are downright epic. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to play a classic RPG. The only downside is that they are expensive as hell. The first one can be around 80 Dollars and the second can be around 60. If you have the cash you need to pick these games up.

This game is classic indeed. Question: Is there a lunar game for the DS? I have a game called Lunar something so I'm unsure.

It's called Lunar: Dragon Song. It really has nothing to do with the other games, I heard it sucked.

Really? I haven't played much of it. All I remember is that one boss in the beginning that takes up both DS screens. I thought that was new.

I have played Lunar: the Silver Star and it is one of my favorite games of all time. The story was amazing and I loved all the characters. Kyle constantly cracked me up and I loved how all the characters developed through the story. I hated a certain character at first but grew to love him by the end. I also loved all the plot twists.

I recently purchased a used copy of Eternal Blue and I will probably be starting that game soon. Hopefully it's not damaged!
