longest final fantasy?

which final fantasy game story-wise took you the longest to complete? mines a tough one between X and VII but im pretty sure that VII is longer, i jsut havent played it in ages and cant quite remember.

FFVII. I was still in Midgar for a quarter of my gameplay time.

I would say FFVII as well. It has to be the longest FF game yet. I want another reallyyy long FF game.

I voted VIII because I found the storyline to be so time-consuming, figuring out the romance and whatnot.
VII was long but it took me a shorter time to complete it.

VIII is the one that I spent the most time on in regards to its storyline with VII coming in at a very close second.

VII - so long, I got bored of it, and thought I'm not playing this again, because it was so depressing, I got fed up.

For whatever reason, IX seemed the longest to me; maybe because it bored me slghtly. It just dragged on and on! But in all fairness, there was a lot extra you could do.

VII it was the first one i played and i didnt know what to expect i got stuck quite a few times, and could never figure out where to go next. SO yeah that one was my longest

Well FFIX had so many good and lengthy sidequests, so it was quite long actually. ^__^

For me, FFVII was easily the longest cause it just seemed to take forever, but it was well worth it

For me it's FFV11 too... Hands down!
First time around it took me about 70 hours to complete...

After that it would probably be FFX... First time around that took me around 50... athough, most of that time was spent playing Blitz-Ball.

The longest Final Fantasy in terms of hours spent on it was XII for me, 70 hours plus before i beat the thing, without side-quests or excessive training. but as for storyline dragging on that was FFVIII, it took forever to tell nothing.

With the sidequests X and IX were surely the longest (and dont get me started about 10 min lasting blitzball matches ).

But without sidequests VII is the longest.

Well FFX I beat in about 80 hours, but I spent a lot of time playing Blitzball to get Wakka's Jupiter Sigil. Then the Monster Arena and getting everyone's Sigils tacked on another good chuck of hours. So far I've spent close to 190+ hours on my FFX game save file, so I picked that one.

Yeah in terms of sidequests ff10 beats all since i have 250+ hour save.
But i found ff8 is longest in storyline wise

took me like a month to figure out how to finish some of the quests and like 2 weeks when i was a newb at it to figure out how to get past the spinning sand around the tree.

XII, in terms of all the sidequests, weapons and items, theres so much to get, large bestiary aswell...i'm predicting i'll be 99% finished at around the 300 hour mark

As far as the story is concerned, its not the longest FF out there...
