Little Vivi's?

They could be just short black mages or an enigma that square puts into their games (They like doing that)
 
I'm pretty sure Vivi is still alive in IX, but yea those things are his kids. Maybe as a process of the mist vanishing in some werid way they were able to live without the cease functiong. Vivi himself could have been a special case as he was made diffrent, but to as how he had kids is still a mystery.
