Help limit break blues, help please

Hi, I just started playing this game and am on disk 2. One thing I can't figure out is how to use some of Zell's limit breaks, mainly dolphin blow and meteor strike (i think that's what they're called)

anyways, when i see it on the screen i mash it in and it goes into like, a cinema view with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen and I don't know what to do from there.

i've tried to let it go on it's own, i've tried the combination while it was in the cinema mode or whatever, i just can't figure it out. well, in any case please help enlighten me here.

usually if you press what's on the screen when it comes up it works. Also you can set it as automatic so that it chooses it for you in Zell's status menu I think...

You can only do one from the choice of two or three it gives you at a time. You can view the list of combinations somewhere on the status screen I think, so you can try to memorise them from that.
Or you can set it to automatic, but this makes the attacks weaker.

Oh okay, I figured it out. I was mashing the buttons too violently which kept me from getting the 4 button or longer moves to work, and the two black bars only show up because i didn't put in any attacks fast enough. thanks for helping me solve this dilemma. :zell:
