Level Grinding

I grind a few lvls before the demon wall in the temple of the ancients, so i'm usually about 40 or 42. i hate grinding soo boring at sometimes.

Same here. Although I had Climhazard while he was still named "Ex-Soldier".

I have a number of places that I tend to stop and train on my way through the game:

-On the way to blow up the second reactor, when you've set off the alarm, and you can fight waves and waves of soldiers.
s.

That is pretty impressive :)

Im currently grinding at those guards where you set off the alarm. Cross Slash at Level 9. Blade beam at level 11.

I have Meteor Rain in the Shinra HQ, thing is though I have never had this before I also have all the other one's behind me as well! I usually just jump over to the next level before getting the second in that certain level... I have been playin' XIII I got bored went over to VII and realized that I still love the game I am loving it at moment :)

I got Meteor Rain before I met Aeris (well before she joined the party, you see her briefly after blowing up the first reactor).

I am now at the train graveyard after Don Corneo's Mansion and the sewers. Tifa and Aeris have limit level 2, I have 5 striking staffs stockipiled (gives Aeris 4 materia slots - 1 pair, 2 normal, and 32 weapon power!). I also have 99 ethers thieved from an enemey. Might stay there until Cloud has the Finishing Touch limit tbh.

I love to grind on VII, its not too hard to do and is always good for your Materia development,
I normally grind up into the 30 region as soon as i hit the world map, I like how the monsters dont level with you on VII, makes the game more fun in my opinion:)

Oh geez! Rofl, you're really going at it! :D

I know you can steal the staff in the Train Graveyard, giving Aerith the boost in power. But geez, the only one that had more then the third's first limit break, would be Tifa for me, seeing as I give her the Cover Materia, so her limit count is always the highest.

Huh. You're right. My materia never gave me any difficulties the way it was, but seeing I am planning on completeing the game a 100% I'll best be off thinking about doing this also... :8F:

I don't usually grind throughout the game, I think the levelling up was quite good, wasn't too slow. When I was 100% completing it, I was at level 60 near the end of disk 3 so I went to an area in the crater where you can fight magic pots for amazing amounts of exp, Mover + Apocalypse for great AP and money! I spent until 4am just levelling there, my dad was like "You've got to stop, go to bed!" "Almost at 99!"

Dang, you don't even need to get that high leveled in the game to finish it. Ha.

All I know is I have to get cross-slash before going to wall market, I have to try my damndest to get blade beam before Rufus, or at least after the Midgar Zolum in the cave area.

I do a lot of..."grinding"

On my current playthrough, I'm trying not to level grind that much...but Cloud's now at level 70 (Tifa and Cid at 68) on disc 2 and I still haven't gone into Shinra to take fight Hojo yet lol. The only reason why I level grind is to unlock limit breaks, but then I tell myself "he's only 3 levels away from being an even 50" and such.

its adelicat balance to strike the right time to move on from leveling up and enjoy/play the game do you stop and lvl up along the way to a boss battle or take into account that you may run into more generouse EXP later in your adventure.

it does'nt need to be said but, its easier to plan on your 2nd,3rd or in some cases 10th play through as to where you should power level, sometimes its fun to play the underdog and go unprepared or go in to fights to the point where you can obliterate your enemies
there is no right or wrong way to play.....
