That character your calling "a little girl" could kick the shit out of your characters with both hands tied behind her back... and besides if she jumps in the middle and you hit her instead of the enemy your likely to break your hand... I know how you guys dont:)

How does that sound?
 
I think that i'll join with Squall, but there are a few persisting problems.

For on thing, my character (Macon) hasn't even met the other characters yet. For another thing, he's butt-naked in the middle of the dragon graveyard, trying to come off of a near-psychadelic experience. And three, how are all of our characters going to meet up, and how is the message going to be sent to me?
 
Yeah, Hera is smart and knows when he's been outclassed. As stated in his bio (on page 2 of this thread), he can sense power levels and such and will know when his power is dwarfed :D

Jake can too, but he's much much more rash than Hera, but I'll make it so that he's not so stupid.
 
How does Dragonite mask your power level? Everything, even stones, gives off a unique energy signature. This signature (do not mix it with a bio-signature) is the energy given off by electron revolution through the atoms/ions/molecules of a substance. Electrons lose energy as they jump or fall to different levels and that energy is what my character(s) can sense. How does the Dragonite mask that. Even if it went over everything else, the energy from the moving electrons in your DNA (which is why people have different energy signatures) will get through eventually. Maybe once every 2 seconds at the best.

Don't mess with me man :P I passed Canadian Grade 11 Chem with a 97 :P :lol: And electron configuration and power levels was part of the curriculum.

So, is anyone gonna post in the RP anytime soon?
 
It's impossible to absorb energy without expending energy. Everything expends energy, living or not. Therefore, I win. Your Dragonite can't disobey the laws of physics. It has to expend energy to absorb your energy. If it absorbs your energy, then it's energy expenditure will likewise be similar in pattern to your energy signature.

I thought it was a fictional substance, but thanks for telling me. Anyway I’ve decided that the tournament will be held in the Himalayan mountains(spelling?). Serge’s character can be brought to the tournament by Ravona and if necessary she can give him some clothing as well.
Anyways Hera Ledro can finish his battles after all the tournament doesn’t have to start today however it will be within a week or so. That way I can make some finishing touches to things as well.

The arena:
The arena is in a cavern in the Himalayan, the cavern is gigantic and can fit a small city. The arena itself is a square field of 100 meters by 100 meters, there is a ceiling as well which is about 150 meters above the arena. There is room for about 2000 spectators which will mostly be filled with supernatural creatures.

The floor the fighters fight on is solid granite and can be destroyed if enough force is used on it. However it’s impossible to destroy the ceiling, for it is protected by magic. The audience is also protected by a similar barrier. This allows fighters to fight all out without having to worry about the mountain crashing down on them.

The judge will be seated in a special seat, he has an human appearance and seems within his twenties or something. Whether he has any special abilities is unknown. He’s protected by a force field that prevents anyone from approaching him. The judge may declare a winner even if both of the fighters can still fight on, this however will only be used in special circumstances and is good for preventing unnecessary casualties.
 
Okay time for me to show off the fact that i am infact a 3rd year chemisty major who reads up on alot of stufdf physics wise...

A) Not every thing expends energy, you can be pretty damn sure that -for example- a lifeless rock doesnt "expend" sure it absorbs energy from the sun which he releases as heat but he doenst expand it per-se...

B) If you do sense the energy of electrons beeign shifted from there orbits around nuclei you are in for one major head ache:P seeing as how those things tend to blink in and out every 1/100000 of a second give or take a factor of hundred... As for the DNA offering "unique signatures" the electrons in complex molecules do not do that, there locked in there respective orbits around the nuclei where there locked in place by the respective pulling of the nucleus and other force (the large and small nuclear forces for instance) while it is possible to move those electrons around (elecrticity conducting polymeres work on this principle) one would require a conjugated system, for those who missed this class that means one bond, carbon atom, double bond, carbon atom rinse wash repeat, this allows the electrons to move around between the atoms, however they will remain locked in there 2p Orbital aroudn the nucleus. DNA doesnt show this effect for the simple reson that the main backbone of the molecule is saturated -barring a few bonds in the phosphate groups but those dont provide "unique signatures" al those would provide is a bone splitting headache with them all emitting the same wavelength of energy and thus resonating the energy to some pretty insane levels.

C) It is possible to make a substance that absorbs pretty mutch all energy, all one would have to do is make a molecule that is absolutly vast and has an atomic bond with is compateble with the energy one wants to dampen out, a few problems would be,
1) the substance would be terminally unstable due to the electro static forces and "sterical hindrance"
2) the energy absorbance would heat the molecule up sufficiently for it to degrade into more stable factions and or form bigger extra molecular structures.
However it isnt entirely inplausible for Magic to have some impact on the above stated objections... As a certain mage once said "Do youy mind i am trying to get the laws of physics to shut up and sit still"...

P.S. if you are wondering why lightning guns are an impossibility it is due to the ground (or even your own body) having less resistance then the path to the enemy your trying to shoot at, thus it beeing "energetically favorable" for them to not take the path you want them to take...

Considering I'm still in Grade 12 Chem, I don't understand half of that. But I do know that (cuz I'm in Grade 12 Bio too), because of the pattern the DNA is arranged in (which, by the way, 95% of DNA is useless junk thats just there for show), the shape of measurable energy release is relatively the same or similar to that DNA.

But, this is irrelevant to this thread XD

I don't care who's the ref personally, just as long as he's fair and understands when a person (on either side) has been outclassed.

And there we go seeing Drachnon's if !supportEmptyParas endif stuff again! I am not the only one seeing this am I?
 
Actually you probably are. I don't know what browser you are using but apparantly it doesn't support everything on the forum therefore some tags that are normally hidden (source code) are shown on your browser. my guess would be that it's javascript as PHP is not displayed in browsers but rather handled server side.

I have no clue why this only happens with my posts though.

EDIT:
I have downloaded IE7 and apparantly that's the one you are using. It's known that IE is made by a bunch of idiots who don't follow the general guidlines when it comes to Doctypes. The lines saying:

are nothing but empty lines actually so ignoring them would be the easiest.

WTH was that :lol: Wow, that was random. Lotsa tings to do to get this thing going.

I have an idea. For the tourney, I'll write the team names down on bits of paper and draw them out of a hat to be matched up. It's a random lottery way to go about assigning matches. How many teams do we have so far...
 
We can do that:P One question, Do the players get to watch the other matches?? this means alot of extra work for me and drach as we'll need to write a boat load of battles (now dont get me we wrong we dont dislike showing off) But it's less fun when your actually having the battle... what i like to call the "i've seen that trick before" factor
 
Oh no, I plan on taking responsibility for the battles if you wouldn't mind. It'll save you guys some work and I have some free time right now (just finished 2 big projects).

As per the people watching the battles, that should be allowed. It'll give their opponents time to study them and make a strategy. Everyone would be able to do it, so no one would be at a disadvantage.

As per the other one, I'll also be glad to take some weight for controlling the NPCs if you'd like. This is your show so I'm not going to steal it, but I don't want you guys bogged down with stuff (who says that anymore :lol: ). If you guys get like that, it may just affect the quality of the tourney, and could even ruin it in the long run.
 
Well some NPC's are quite complex in the way they 'battle' note that not everyone tries to win on strength some will use their brains to win while others have some big surprises behind them, so those can't be RPed by anyone else.

However several other teams can be played by you if you want too. It would decrease my work load. But don't worry about quality as you may have noticed from the lion share of my posts Frenzy and I love to put some work behind them.

There are more NPC in progress, in total there will be 16 teams (so 6 more to go).
If someone has a really cool team in mind that's not too powerful tell me the idea and I'll see if I can work something out. It's a real pain our characters were already quite powerful when the RP started. Making weak NPC teams is easier without at low levels without making several similar characters.
