Welcome to Koibito, the club for Cloud/Tifa. If you're a fan of this couple, please feel free to join.

Few rules though:

1 - Obviously, you have to be a fan of Cloud/Tifa

2 - However, you're free to be a fan of Cloud/Tifa in any way (as long as it isn't in a hateful sense, this is a Cloti fanclub, not a hateclub). If you think they're romantically involved, then that's good. If you think they're just friends, it's all good.

3 - Don't spam or troll, k? And if you do, at least make it interesting.

4 - Criticism, comments, suggestions are always welcome.

I think that this should be the new fanclub. The other one didn't have much thought put into it and had a carbon copy of FFG's rules for her Cloud and Aeris club. Plus the charter was a bit too strict.

Joining! Oh, and for the record, Rose, you may also want to explain what Koibito means and why you chose it as the name for this club. XD

Yep, don't forget to http://s9.invisionfree.com/StrifeHeart/index.php? join ettt

And could you add http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e173/StrifeHeart1 our album in the first post too? That would be cool of you.

I'll do that right now.

In the Reunion Files, there's a particular page where Nomura talks about Tifa's role in Advent Children. He describes her as "a mother, a sweetheart, and a close ally in battle".

However, the sweetheart was written as "koibito" in kanji. So what does koibito mean? In Japanese, koibito is a word that has only one meaning: lover. So pretty much what Nomura was saying was that Tifa was a mother (to Denzel and Marlene), a close ally in battle (to the rest of the FF7 party) and a lover (to Cloud).

Now many people (not giving any names) try to say that Tifa may be a "koibito", but it doesn't mean that she's Cloud's koibito. Personally I think they're just being desperate and lacking common sense. As far as we know, Tifa wasn't dating or interested in Cid, Vincent, Barret, Reno or Rude, so she certainly wasn't their lover. On the other hand, she was living with Cloud, raising two children with him, was his childhood friend, the person who prety much saved his life and sanity in the Lifestream, and then at the end of the movie he promises to return home with her, Marlene and Denzel.

With that said, it really isn't that hard to figure out just who's koibito she is.

*pats your furry ass* *gives you a penis rod* Good job Rosie. Sadly, there are still people who deny the words of Nomura. All we can do for them is kick their- I mean, pray for them. Pray for them goooood. And hopefully they'll see the light.

WHY I LOVE CLOTI!

It caught my eye because it wasn't your typical 'childhood sweethearts' kinda thing and there was more to Tifa and Cloud's histories than meets the eye. You may think that Tifa is your 'typical' kickass sexy barmaid that knows martial arts and yada yada, has a secret love for the main character that never gets reciprocated while he goes off with the lovely Last-of-the-Ancients- untouchable flower maiden.

Cloud may appear cold at the beginning of the game, but among that coldness you can still tell that there are traces of fondess for the barmaid. If you pick the option to buy the flower from Aeristh, Tifa will ask you if the flower is for her and thank Cloud. Cloud scratches the back of his head and says that it's 'no big' and is able to give her the flower to either Tifa or Marlene. Cloud is so nice! <!--emo&:kuraudo:-->

<!--endemo--> And a dork underneath that 'EX-SOLDIER' facade. Hell, Barret even knows that there's something going on between Cloud and Tifa by the way Tifa probably spoke of Cloud when she found him at the train station, so if you get to 7th Heaven early enough, he even calls her Cloud's 'little baby' and teases him. Cloud pretends not to know what's he's talking about.

Later she tries to strike up a few conversations with Cloud, but he remains cold as ever. Then she brings up the promise, one of the only remaning traces of their childhood that they had together that didn't involve any painful memories, like the Nibelheim burning. But of course, I didn't learn about that till later.

Cloud didn't have a perfect childhood. It was later revealed that he was pining after Tifa like a stalker, and that really suprised me. For 9 years. That sealed the deal of their unbreakable bond, to me. It just reinforces the fact that they're inseperable. Tifa's always been thinking about Cloud, Cloud's always been thinking about Tifa more than he lets on, and they both come to a realization about their feelings for eacother at the end of disk 2 in the 'Last Night under the Highwind' scene. No matter which scene you get, it's still very suggestive that something of a private moment happened between the two of them, and the rest of the team was watching from above and let them know the next day.

...But without this sounding like an informal essay, I'll just get to the point of why I like CloudxTifa, Cloti, Clito, and Cloud and Tifa together. They're both such interesting characters, and they break a lot of videogame impressions and cliche's you may have about what type of characters they are. Cloud may appear to be a badass kickass EX-SOLDER lady's man with no weakness but in reality he's a very weak-minded and confused boy who can't really stand on his own two feet so he breaks down and falls, but who helps him stand back up? Tifa., the 'bully' whom he had a childhood crush and fascination with. Just the fact that Cloud did everything to get Tifa's attention back then really says a lot to me, and I found it beautiful how someone can do that much to get someone whom they barely knew to notice them. But little did Cloud know that back then, Tifa was fond of him too, she just didn't know what to make of him at first.

So, how many times has Cloud risked his neck to save someone who he apparently only had a 'crush' on from danger? He did it twice, one time when Tifa was 8 and almost fell to her death, and a second time when she was 15 and could have almost bled to death in the reactor when she got stabbed by Sephiroth's sword. She's the first person he ran to. Even when his best friend Zack was injured, he STILL ran to that 'bully' and 'juvenile crush' and saved her from harm's way. He holds her in almost equal regard to his own home, Nibelheim. He doesn't even say Zack's name in anger when he runs Sephiroth through. (not undermining Zack and his huge importance, I'm just saying <!--emo&^^-->

When Cloud is in danger and is comatose, he could die. But who stays by his side? Tifa. Apparently the bully cares about him so much that she'd also risk her neck staying with him aswell. <!--emo&:teefah:-->

<!--endemo--> You know... it's this...devotion that the two of them share that I find beautiful. And plus, they're both quite the beautiful characters themselves, inside and out. Going on a journey with someone and risking your lives together and and experiencing things like this together would obviously impact them greatly, and have them learn more about themselves and eachother.

And so they went through it all together. <!--emo&:retards:-->

<!--endemo--> And it is going to stay that way, neeeeeeee? Such deep devotion and trust I see between these two beautiful pixels. I love them. Love the game they're in. They should make babies now. <!--emo&:zuruzuru:-->

It seems that Cloud and Tifa also started a trend for the other canon couples of the future FF games:
