KH1 vs KH2 differences

okay simple question, anyone notice character changes, world changes etc in the game, i would have to say the most noticeable on would be the difference of riku, kairi, sora and cloud... obviously but did anyone else notice the difference of sephiroth and the castle in hollow bastion?
 
I noticed a lot of changes and most of those changes were for the good.

It seemed that Sora, Riku and Kairi were finally growing up a little. Not that they were mature enough in the first game. I noticed a lot more anger in Sora this time around and it seemed that Kairi played a better role this time. As for Riku, he kept us all guessing where he was and what he was up to.

I also loved the new battle system, where you had more options to choose from such as the Drive Form. I loved the Drive Form so much because it gives you a boost in power.
 
yeah i noticed the characters were much more mature (especially riku since he doesn't act so cool anymore)

i also noticed kh2 is more of a straightforward game
whereas kh1 you had to actually explore
chest are rigt in frount of you in kh2 but you had to climb and search for them in kh1
 
I liked the fact that this was a lot more strategic. Halfway through KH1, you were able to equip curaga to X, and just ammer X, and hold L too, when you need health. The combination of reactions, drives, new summons and special abilities make KH2 much more interesting to play.

The difference in KH1 is that it is harder in combat, less worlds, and the gummy ship battles stink and in KH2 the combat is easier, in more worlds, and the gummy ship battles are actually halfway decent.
 
I think the new battle system made the game more interesting to play, but it also made the game easier. I died a few times in KH1, but in KH2 I only died a few times near the end.

And yea, Im glad they changed a lot or else it would have been a really lame rehash of levels.

I'm really happy they changed the Little Mermaid level cause the control and fighting was pretty bad in KH1.
 
i notice that Aireth i think thats how u spell it not sure-- sumone else plays 4 her & instead of having Samba has a summon u get to go to the world & sora looks way more better in is new look in KH2 plis the overdrive-- well if i think of anything else then ya i'll be sure to tell

that happened? i never noticed that aerith's voice actually changed
 
Yes, in Kingdom Hearts I, Mandy Moore did the voice for Aerith and for Kingdom Hearts II, Mena Suvari did the voice for Aerith (the same woman who did her voice in Advent Children)

she did? why did they change it though, though i don't mind considering that fact that in KH1 aerith vocie wasn't that good and in advent children, her voice was better
 
They changed a few of the voices for KH2 because of advent children. I'm not sure but I think that Cloud's voice was changed also.
 
Sephiroths voice was switched from that N'sync singer - Lance Bass to someone called George Newbern - who also did his voice in AC ^_^

I liked how the battle system changed in KH2 from KH1 - but i think it made KH2 a lot easier though.......

No, Cloud's voice hasn't changed once. Steve Burton has done the voice for Cloud in KHI, Advent Children and KHII
 
Hmmm no other voices have changed that I'm aware of. I'm not for sure who did Sora's voice in KH I, but I'm pretty sure it was Haley Joel Osment that did the voice for Sora in KH II
 
He was the one who voiced sora in KH1 as well. its just that between the two games his voice changed, considering he was a child when kh1 was out, and the years it took for kh2 to come out makes a differance.
