I'm wondering what people though on Keyblades and their Keychains as I've noticed some are without. I have my own Theory on this but first I was hoping to hear what some of you think. Do Keyblades with chains make them stronger? Significance? or is it just a random thing and only come to keyblades that are attached to memories or emotions?
I'm curious as to peoples Ideas

It's....complicated at best.

The only Keyblade I know of that does not have a keychain as far as canon is concerned is Riku's Keyblade of People's Hearts from KHI (the other Keyblades, even those from the KHII secret ending were later shown to have Keychains)

True, some chains makes Keyblades stronger, but that was a gameplay mechanic, I think the strength of the Keyblade is not from the chain, but from it's wielder. That's my opinion.

I don't think the keychains were all that important. They were probably just there to enhance how the keyblades looked. Or they could have been there to refer to real life keychains in some way. As Kevin stated, the power of the keyblade does rely more on the user, though the keyblades do each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

I always thought the Keychains were added to the original Keyblade and that's what changed them. Like instead of a world giving you a whole new Keyblade, they gave you a chain to attached to the original Keyblade and that changed it, for example, into Tazan's keyblade.

That's the importance I always thought it had xD
