Welcome ladies and gents to the official club on FF.NET dedicated to the Devil May Cry game series! There's 3 games in this series: Devil May Cry 1, 2, and 3!

Devil May Cry 1
The story of "Devil May Cry" follows the hero Dante, a half-human, half-demon who must save the world. He is the son of the legendary Sparda, who fought against the evil forces, years earlier. Dante's task is not an easy one, as he must fight his way through an unstoppable army of darkness in his quest to face the ultimate evil: Mundus. The emperor of darkness himself has come back to raise "hell", trying one more time to take control of the world. Dante, a private investigator of the supernatural, is seeking revenge for the death of his mother and brother. However, Dante comes face to face with his destiny, discovering the evil conspiracy goes back thousands of years and that the evil Mundus has arisen a new. With his twin set of guns, and his father's sword, he'll find out how far he can go.

Devil May Cry 2
DMC 2 features our now familiar Dante as the main character, and this time around he seems to be more in touch with his demonic and darker side in both look an appearance. The game also features a second playable character, a heroine named Lucia. DMC 2 also features improved visuals, not that the first DMC looked bad in any way. The introduction of Matrix inspired effects like insane wall running and bullet-time effects results in one big adrenaline trip! The gaming community has been pretty much split in half when comparing DMC2 to the first game. Some people hated the new changes Capcom made to the game, while others saw them as improvements. The only way to find out though is to play the game yourself.

Devil May Cry 3
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, is the third installment of the Devil May Cry series (though fans often consider it only the second 'proper' Devil May Cry), starring the hero Dante. It is a prequel to the first game.
Capcom, stating that they had learned much from the flop of the second installment, announced Devil May Cry 3 at E©ø 2004. Its first trailer promised a return to the hallmarks of the original, such as spooky, gothic stylings and Dante's flippant personality, and was well received by fans. The development team consisted of staff from both of the previous two games. Yuji Shimomura, who was the action director in Ryuhei Kitamura's cult action movie Versus, serves the same role for this game. Upon release, it was widely lamented for its high level of difficulty, but was praised for its return to the engaging gameplay of Devil May Cry and various improvements. Most fans and critics agree that it is equal, if not superior, to the first game.
Devil May Cry 3 takes place before the establishment of the Devil May Cry agency and before Dante has awakened the majority of his devil lineage. The game focuses heavily on the dysfunctional relationship between Dante and his twin brother Vergil.

So, join if you love that asskicking cocky shit-talker demon named Dante today! Devil May Cry isn't as talked about as Final Fantasy, but it's a very entertaining series.

Welcome, Tidus Blade! Yeah, DMC3 had the best gameplay of the 3. And the best characters (because there were more than the previous two games).

Well i really liked it! Devil Trigger was awesome, it also actually gave me a challenge, in other games i would always defeat the boss easily, it took me a week to figure out how to defeat Cerberus on mission 3 0.o but now im just overpowered, i train too much

I would like to join this as I myself am most definatly a DMC fan.

Have you all heared how DMC2 was officially cut out of the main story. It is know actually non cannon.

You mean "canon", right? XD Not the weapon cannon that shoots balls.

And seriously? That makes me kinda mad. I actually didn't think that DMC2 was that bad, but I mean, how can you make a game un-canon like that if it was already made and such and they gave the ok to whoever made it? So now they suddenly don't like it? *rant* Of course, I know that the game is not all that loved, because lots of fans moan and complain about "Dante wasn't badass in DMC2 and the gameplay sucked! It was too easy!" now, I'll agree that it was a little too easy and that the gameplay was not at all what it promised to be, but just cutting it out like that? Seriously. Ghey. It did have it's good points.

Good points including the boss fights. Bosses as Nefasturris, Nefascapitis, Furiataurous (I think), Argosax the Chaos, and Despair Embodied were great additions to the game.
The only few things I can honestly say I don't like about this, is the fact that your DT doesn't change while in that state, yet they felt it sufficient to just give you an elemental edge. Not too great.
Another was the story line. Oh, sorry, the LACK of story line. It had no depth in comparison to 1 and 3, which were substantially sufficient in themselves.
The other two...well, what need one say? Works of art. Especially with the coming of DMC3: Special Edition. ;D

Oh, and may I join your little club? :p

Of course you may join. :P Welcome, Vergil. *licks lips* Vergil is a sexy creature indeed, but Dante is my favorite.

I agree on the storyline of DMC2. I wish that it had more to it, because it could have been a way better game. I mean, despite Dante being gorgeous 'n all in it, where did his personality go? XD
