Is this big FF8 display worth anything?

Hi, my first time here, sorry if this is in the wrong section! I was cleaning my place out and found a big cardboard stand-up advertisement for Final Fantasy 8. I must admit that I don't follow the series, but I thought there must be some people who would be interested in it (I'm going by reports that FF8 was a well-received game).

Unfortunately I haven't found anything similar to it on ebay to base a price off of, and the display isn't in perfect condition. A few of the spikes at the top are bent and there is some minor damage to the edges, but the colors look very vibrant.

Can any of you guys give me an idea on this? Thanks so much in advance!

It would probably vary a lot from person to person. A lot of people would probably consider it trash and wouldn't be willing to pay a penny for it. Hell some might make you pay them to take it.

However a few of the more hardcore fans might buy it off ya. If it were in perfect condition and I had space in my house (and I could somehow make it go with my decor) I would probably offer you 20-30 bucks. Out of perfect condition, 10-15 bucks. But thats a lot of specifics to fill before the fact in my case.
 
I'd assume those are pretty rare. A hardcore FF fan who collects things like that would pay alot for it. Do you remember where you got it from?
 
No idea unfortunately. I did get an offer from someone for $20 which I'm thinking of taking. I'm just worried that it is some sort of collectible and would fetch a high price elsewhere like you say.

I'd say it could be worth a fair bit to a fan that wants as much memoprabilia as possible, especially if there are nort many knoking about. Can't say Ive ever seen any on ebay, so it could potentially be snapped up for a decent price. If you are planning on selling it on ebay then just start with a price you would be happy to le it go for and take it from there, if now ebay, then you might have to dig a bit deeper and look on other sites, see if you can find anyhting there
 
You should be able to get up to $100 off it it if you find an idiot fanboy of the series if not most people would not want it.

100 quid unlikely, its just cardboard afterall. Maybe if it was plastic youd get a few quid but its just a cardboard cut out. I doubt even hard core fanboys would part with their money for it.
 
You might be able to get a lot for it in 20 or 30 years, but right now, $20 will be the highesst you could get, I'm personally surprised somebody offered you that much, I mean it is only cardboard
 
Whoa what the hell I have the same exact poster in my room lol. I am never going to sell mine I Love Final Fantasy a little to much and am never selling any of my others either.
 
Haha, actually it looks like that deal won't go through either. The guy who wants it lives in Israel and with me in north america, shipping goes into the $1000-plus range. I guess I'll put it up on craigslist every month and see if someone local is interested.

Until then I'll just stick it behind a bookcase :P Thanks for all the advice everyone!
 
If I had money, I'd pay like 15- 20 bucks for it. that is awesome.
