I have never played Final Fantasy IX in my entire life, however, I have heard great things about it. Well, I have a friend who is offering to sell it to me for $20. Is it worth it? What are some of the plus sides to Final Fantasy IX?

Please, at all costs, avoid spoilers. As I've said, I've never played it.
 
For $20, that's a bargain; on the likes of Ebay and Amazon, it goes for $55+.
As for the plus side...its difficult to say whether or not you'll like it. What other FF's have you played?
 
I'll post which Final Fantasy games I have played, along with what I thought of them.

FFI - It was pretty cool! Story was descent, Chaos was a b****.
FFIII - I loved it. I loved everything about it. The Job's sucked, but other than that it was great.
FFVII - Perfect, beautiful game.
FFVIII - Amazing. It was the first FF game I ever played and to this day, it is my second favorite.
FFX - This is the game that inspired me to play Piano. It's a great game, and it has a good story line, too.
FFX-2 - I love it. That's all I will say.
FFTA - Great game. I love it.
FFTA2 - I just beat it last week, and I loved it.
FFDoC - Amazing. I hate shooters and I love it.
FFCC - Stunning.
