Is it true i can get the masamune?

well you can only get this sword by means of completing the speed event at golden saucer with a ceratin amount of points.
And even the it is only a replica which goes into your item collection
if you want to cheat and get sephy in your party then thats the only 'true' way of getting it (as far as i know)
 
The closest thing you're going to get to the Masamune, is the Murasame. This can be bought in Wutai, with a strength value of...52 or something. Can't recall exactly.

I think Yoshiyuki is much cooler than Murasame, it's longer and also have better attack power but only 2 materia slots :( .
Cloud can't use Masamune even if you use gameshark (funniest thing is that Masamune looks like a gun for Vincent in item menu (have same icon)but Vince can't use it too ^^). ^_^

You won't want it trust me, the game gets all glitchy when you try to use it. He won't show up in battle and it'll say that he's dead. Besides, you'll have to give up Vincent to use him.
 
Well if you have the PC version, its possible. Someone (other than myself, dont have time) can easily mod the weapons and extract sephiroths sword mesh, and replace it with clouds.

True...True...FALSE!
you can get the Masamune, i wouldnt count on getting Sephiroth though.
the producers,staff,and crew of Square-Enix stated that there are NO extra characters then there are to be played. yep. no Zack either. all rumors.

Well... just hope for a remake with cheats and all. thats all you can do my friend!
( just who WOULD need cheats to beat Final Fantasy anyway[a complete and total walkthrough with everything isnt good enough])
 
i think the simple answer is no. anyway as much as it would be cool to have him, hes the bad guy in the game. it would make the storyline a little confusing...
 
well there is actually a mod for the PC version to replace cloud with sephiroth and makes cloud the bad guy
