XBox Infinite Undiscovery Question

So I've been looking all over the net for help with this game and i imagine i'm not the only one, so I've started this thread. that being said... onto the problem.

does anyone know why Capell from infinite undiscovery only goes to level 7? I've restarted the game three times and every time he stops gaining exp when he is 1016 from being level 8. right now the rest of the party are in the 20's and he is still at lvl 7. any help would be appreciated. if its part of the story, if i need to do something in perticular, anything.

I FIGURED THIS OUT PEOPLE!!

Turns out Lupis had an item called monk soul equipped that reduced gained EXP to 0% I understand the confusion but the Item actually came in handy when leveling of the characters to make the Bonus dungoen more challenging.

Infinite Undiscovery is a RPG released exclusively on the X-BOX 360 sometime last decade

One of the better things about IU is the staggering amount of back up characters there is like a 12 or 15 I cant remember, called the Liberation Force.

Not the best game, but enjoyable. I don't understand why he can't level up past 8, seems pretty weird to me. This game took me forever to beat, it's challnging
